if ye would like to check waylon a new world will be opening:) he's good in country, folk rock and also dutch folk songs; like your comments, keep on going!
Waylon Jennings was a great inspiration to Waylon ( real name Willem) he can sing everything! And I mean everything, worth looking into what he can do. This were two performances mixed, so great! Thanks so much, 🥰…and I agree with Sue about the song from Kate Bush 👌
Keep in mind the southern accent and the ones you hear in let's say Kentucky or Tennessee have mostly their origin in the accent Saxon pilgrims and settlers, so German and Dutch (as well as French and British of course) people brought with them to the US and kept that accents while adopting to the common language in the US. Culturaly the people from the Saxon regions in Europe have A LOT in common with typical American country folk.
Fun to watch Danny and Waylon together. check out Waylon Outlaw In 'Em. Waylon, From an early age he was inspired by country music and drummed in/with the band West Virginian Railroad. He signed with EMI in 1997 and was allowed to record a record in Nashville, which did not materialize. In 2001 he lived and worked in the United States for a year where he also performed in the show of his idol Waylon Jennings with whom he also worked. Jennings died and Waylon returned to the Netherlands. Besides country he can do it all he is truly amazing.
I have never been nauseated by one of your videos. (Feel free to use that quote to promote your channel). I recognized Kate Bush’s Wuthering Heights right away too. Great song! The book… eh… um… more of a feminine appeal, I guess. But a classic, they say. I do like the Monty Python Semaphore version, though. (Which I can’t find on RU-vid, dammit!)
Danny Vera ft. Waylon, Benny Jolink on guitar and vocals and the Wolfman on organ, now that's a gigg I'd love to see one day! You guys should check out more of Waylon imo, like his performances at Dutch TV show 'DWDD' (the country one with Benny Jolink preforably) or his live performances at radiostation 538, bad quality vids but great live up-tempo soul music.
A little morning prison blues. Reminds me of my youth. Fortunately not the prison part. They never caught me. Haha Good show, work on you twos volume again. Thanks 🤠
Hope you enjoyed that one too. One of the newer versions of a song I’ve come across to play more then a few times. Got back from shoulder therapy and here it was. Plenty of time here to watch your videos so keep them coming and I’ll keep watching. Thanks for this one your time and reactions. Enjoy all your picks and reactions.
hey suesue and wolfman nice that you are doing something from danny again, your question if he sings with other artists, this is a nice one here he sings with Krezip, this band is very well known here in the netherlands in the late 90s early 2000s, in 2009 the band called it quits, and in 2019 they made a comeback see if you enjoy doing this one, Danny Vera & Krezip - Make It A Memory | Matthijs Continues ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1bzpJ-L5WOQ.html The other artist you see waylon is also a good singer you didn't hear him sing very well in the video unfortunately waylon sang the song Calm after the storm together with ilse delange in the eurovision song contest 2014, The Common Linnets - Calm After The Storm (The Netherlands) LIVE Eurovision Song Contest ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bWe8PRsW4T0.html in 2018 participated in Eurovision Song Contest again with the song Waylon - Outlaw In 'Em - The Netherlands - LIVE - Grand Final - Eurovision 2018 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p7jHz5asMs8.html
Following up on my comments below the other two reactions vids you uploaded today, see? cheerful music clearly is what's best for you guys right now! Apparently, in this video Danny performed at a jazz festival in Maastricht, the Netherlands, and that happens to be my birth place, so that was a nice surprise! You two hang in there. 😉👍
