Hey From Clermont Fl, in the sport since 1985 you young men from Norway really bring not just smart hard work, but a joy and fun to the sport. You are welcome here in Clermont Florida , its perfect in the winter time . Can take you guys on a tour .
Hello, fellow Clermonter. Can confirm, absolutely great winter training for triathlon, and definitely the biggest triathlon training mecca on the east coast. I heatd that the infamous Clay Loop Rd. is going to be gone soon. I have not checked on it lately. Paving it over for more construction. Just what the area needs. Whats your favorite training grounds in the area? Its a bit of a gaul for me, but I like Laje Louisa State Park. So many triathletes train there. I really like the rolling hills in the park for my TT training. Just right. Not too steeo, but not too flat. Amazing how little car traffic thete is also which makes it very safe. The Van Fleet trail is a regular for me also for TT training. A tad boring, but also very safe to ride and clean trails make for no punctures, so that outweighs boring. The usual hill roads are great training, but Florida is just one very strage state. Even the remotest farm and back roads have way too much vehicular traffic (especially large trucks. Its a complete mystery to me why there are so many large trucks nonstop on vack roads. I just dont see that in any other states). The traffic on these well known hill roads is just getting worse every month. I am thinking of becoming a 'gravel' riding convert if the urban sprawl keeps up.
Great video Kristian and beautiful training location! Where there for 3 times. Last time was in 2017. Never went by plane, Is that a bit doable in terms of travel and car rental? Keep up the good work!🔥💪🏼
So far ahead of every tri guy its unreal... Gustv doesnt even look like he is trying when he runs...He is so crazy good!!! Blumm is so confident in his skillz and loves the pressure...
In general I use a lot of the Maurten 320 drink + Gel 100 to get maximum of carbs onboard. + Red Bull for pure sugar and the caffeine kick. For some easier and short session I still might use it to help me prepare for the next session or the next day
I’m impressed how you can manage to kick ass at triathlon *and* produce awesome videos like this. Would love to learn more about your gear & process for filming and editing these, since I know a lot of people - myself included - would love to emulate your approach.
To finish of an Ironman we have both done around 2:34-35 for the marathon. For a fresh( without swim and bike as warm up 😂 )marathon I like to think I could potentially break 2:11:30
Kristian and Gustav, glad to hear you are coming to Kona this year! One word of warning …. it has been quite windy this year in Hawaii ( I live on Oahu) and stinging bees have been a problem for many cyclists here. I found that lemon eucalyptus liquid spray (Cutter, Murphy’s etc) repels bees better than anything else, and it’s safe for skin and clothing. Maybe you could spray yourself quickly at T1, head to toe, before you jump on the bike. Getting stung while running hasn’t been a problem, I think it is the higher-speed motion, and glint off of bikes and bike equipment that bees perceive as a threat and want to sting you.
