Definitely. I doubt any playable character is dying. And even if Furina does die, she’ll get brought back somehow. Just maybe not as an archon. (I also doubt that though, because that would mean they would get a new archon and I don’t think that’s happening)
After watching the 4.2 trailer again I have come to the conclusion that maybe Focalors/Furina, had a plan to die or fake his death(similar to what Zhongli did) so Neuvillette can take the gnosis and use his powers to seal the primordial sea, that's why he said she's a devious one and the last thing she says would make sense. Great reactions I really loved how canon they felt, also Furina smiling when hearing her own voice at the end.
So she is useless till the end And to avoid the responsibility and the fact that she had no plan at all she decided to "die" and have Neuvillete do everything she couldn't
@@JustATroll_B88B Remember every archon till now had it issues. Whether it came from themselves or those around them. Its almost if they human with godly powers instead of just perfect gods. Not to mention. Furina is not that old of an archon yet. And she knows the prophecy will come true somehow. As if she and neuvillette already lived through this once. Maybe thats why Neuvillette said and I quote 'I seem to remember, this trail its....' . And Furina seems a little bit happy for a trail dont ya think. And whats with the long hair furina and the short hair, maybe their is a difference. But atleast we know is that Neuvillette an maybe MAYBE save Fontaine. And maybe it was her plan to die. Maybe the primordial sea will be weakend or cancelled somehow cause the hydro archon is gone and Neuvillette is only one who can save it.

@@JustATroll_B88B Like I said all archons are this oblivious or "stupid" if ya may call it that. Of course Nahida is exception. BUT King Deshret was again a Archon that was "stupid". All Archons made atleast one big mistake. I mean look at raiden ei, Morax, Barbatos. All made a big mistake dont ya think. Plus we shouldnt assume that furina is oblivious and "stupid" since we dont know much about her or her plan. Not to mention we are only in 4.2 rn. And I mean if ya look at it now. All archons did something for reason. Im sure (even though I agree furina can be a kid sometimes and cant handle pressure) there will be a hell of a reason why she did this. I mean she did say she was planning all along and you heard Neuvillette "why did you deceive us" and "your so devious" meaning she must have something planned. We cant plant assumptions based of something we dont know. Be honest now do you know Furina till now. Rn I see her as a split personality person that cant handle pressure. But thats all we have seen for now that is.
The god of contracts... have you heard of him?.. He has an impressive memory he remembers the name of every person he comes across and the date that the every ship built in Liyue sets sail after all only being in able to do so can he memorize all of the contracts he holds with that said... not every memory is a happy one for those who live too long the friends of days that gone by and seems from their adventures live on in their memories... as such I have no regrets in meeting you friend... should the day ever come that we are not together... you will continue to shine like gold in my memories...
It's really interesting to me that neuvillette's line is cut up in the beginning. "The hydro archon" and "to be punished via the death sentence" don't match up, there should be something in between them saying that she "IS to be punished", which gives me the impression that these two phrases are separate sentences with different settings, and not correlated. Hoyoverse is very good at taking lines out of context, so that every word spoken in the trailer is included in the game, but cannot be reliably interpreted to avoid flat out spoiling the story instead of just teasing it. Perhaps someone is sentenced to death, but furina isnt the one convicted.
