Absolutely loved this performance! Only tiny pet peeve was the censoring during "I Love You". Art is meant to make you feel something, whatever intended or perceived emotion that is. Fontaines have drawn such a cult following due to the raw expression and passion in thier live performances, and whilst its a small thing, censoring de-values the artist and the song and therefore the art.
@@chrisdvsmith999man i travelled to Portland from Texas for the concert and maybe like 5 days before de concert they did announced Deego was dealing with health issues and he had to leave the tour. Definitely such a huge difference without him there
@@sratus polyphia for example, but most of the popular bands tend to record a wall of sound when they are in the studio. That's a trap, layerin 6 channels of guitars won't make the song better. That's why I don't want to listen to Foo Fighters' albums, in contrast Foo Fighters is a better band on stage for me
What a great performance! This video was my first introduction to the band and I instantly fell in love as I randomly clicked the Roman Holiday section. They quickly became my fav band of this winter and gave me huge inspiration. Hope to see them live one day. Cheers from Russia!
Very impressive live sound, instruments and vocals. Congratulations all round and to KCRW. And I loved the sole ‘Bastard walks by’, just because it had to be there, regardless of radio play. FDC are the open door of a cage for many, and rightly so.
@@talesfromtheclassroom Nah, I actually mean it. Beyond the wearing of sunglasses and broad accent I don't see anything else resembling him, and I have seen both multiple times live. They're nothing alike, especially musically.
the tracksuit jumper, the hair, the shades, the voice, the hands behind the back while singing. Granted he's much better than Liam, but that isn't saying much: Oasis are one of the worst bands of all time.@@mozzerianmisanthrope406
Being from Ireland this band really excites me . I hope there is a wave of music like fountains. This music up lifts me unlike any new music these days much love
Every single instrumental part is interesting to listen to. Great to see also how songs evolve with time. This band never ceases to impress me more and more
This is why I'm in Love with Music. It's fucking shit like this that can bring the people together. To bring the Fans together. The most snobbish of people would have at least a few words to say, and that's still saying something. Well done gentlemen, well done. 👏👏👏 🚬🥃🎚️📻🎵🧲🫀🤝
Good to see them back. Not the best performance (in my opinion). Felt like they lost some sparkles. Maybe because of Deego s absence, backing vocals on Nabokov ..outch 🥶
Agree Conor D is so important to the whole makeup and sound. We need him back for the new album and tour. They worked so hard since 2017! I WISH was there!!❤❤❤❤
Y’all really didn’t have to censor the word “fucking” in “I Love You”. Who’s that helping? Don’t kill their right to free expression especially for that particular song. Beyond that, phenomenal work.
Constructive criticism if I humbly may for ze string section; try level guitars up dry and then turn on the reverbs afterwards, a lot of the music is drowning and it sounds like you're hiding behind pedals when there are good licks n lines all working together, but again drowning, you somewhat sound like the peak of the reverbs is your level, again level dry then add reverbs 😇 if I may 😅
Arctic monkeys rocked coz oll.ze boys were singing together, yer bassist is soulful but you need the guitarists singing in their own collectively atonal and thumb print register, ze boys chorus 😇🫒 (also giz a job there lads, playing guitar 22 years and happy to tune up, work ze levels, write some riffs, share some tricks, mop the floors (honestly love mopping😇) my lil brother there loves yous, we're actually both from ze Coombe 🫒.
