Not a missed note, awesome work dude! love this song, such a fun one to do on drums, one that I think will be a while before I get the hang of. I have a td-27, and as far as I know, the cymbals should have the "Roland" logo away from you as that's where the electronics is, and wont be able to take direct hits as well.
What a great cover!! I came upon this because I saw your “My hero” cover (which was also great) because I am playing it (My hero) as one of my first songs as a drummer (just started a few months ago) and need inspiration! Both covers were fabulous!
Im a guitarist/singer and this is a favorite of mine to perform. Recently I bought drums for home recording and have been practicing. Since I love this song, I decided to try to play along. Well, you have confirmed to me why I hate drummers. I can't even keep up with just the bass drum alone without making mistakes. Pisses me off how Dave Grohl can effortlessly pick up guitar while I struggle so hard to pick up drums. I can improvise OK in an informal jam but trying to play anything prescribed is murder. You rocked this and made it look easy. Ima go play it on guitar to try and salvage some self esteem🤔
Sounds great man. Not sure if you’ve realized this yet or not, but it looks like you’ve got a couple of your cymbals on backwards. The “Roland” logo is supposed to be on the opposite side of where you hit because that’s where the trigger area is. Not tryin to sound arrogant, just something I noticed. Cheers brother!
@@patrickchaanindrums no prob dude. I’m pretty new to Edrums myself & a few months ago when I was first setting my kit up I couldn’t figure out why my cymbals weren’t triggering properly. After googling it I realized I had them on backwards.
I dont play the drums but I had bought my brother his own pair of electronic drums last year. WHen it comes to playing to music like this do you have to pay for the version without the drums so you can play to it? This was awesome! I saw Foo Fighters live last year and this was spot on. Good stuff!
Brother, this is such a fantastic cover. I bought the TD17KV instead of the TD17KVX, I'm feeling like I made a really bad decision :( I hope to upgrade the hi-hat and some cymbals. Btw, have you tried Lemmon cymbals? They are cheaper, and I think I could afford a bigger ride cymbal than the one on KVX Thanks for the excellent cover.
Hey Juan, the kit I'm using is a Roland TD17KVX. I would for sure recommend it. The snare feels great and the kit is nice and compact if you're tight on space.
