Great demo! I have one that my mother in law gave me as a gift. (Apple seeds contains cyanide, which is a powerful poison. You can eat them, but eventually you'll have health problems)
I just saw this in a thrift store for $40. Maybe I should go back & get it. But I have one that attaches to my kitchen-aid and runs with a motor. Hmmmm.
My daughter gave me hers..her mother in law gave it to her...I am giving it to my other daughter...I don't have room for it and neither did my daughter...I had hoped it would meat like bologna or ham to make ham or bologna salad for sandwiches.
I don't know if this will work but I've seen it done on America's Test Kitchen dozens of times: Put the meat in your freezer for about 20-30 mins. That makes the meat hard enough to cut efficiently but the meat is not frozen so you can cook with it immediately. They use a knife to cut identical strips or cubes, so I'm not sure this will work, but it's certainly worth a try. Let us know if you do try it.
Thanks for reaching out to us. We apologize for the delay. Can you you tell us what kind of surface you have to attach the food cutter to? Meaning is it a smooth surface?
