I've named certain days of the week by the task I need to do on that day . ie; fertilizer Friday , weeding Wednesday, sadistic Sunday ( I look for bugs and snails then I take care of them ☠) , mowing Monday ... lol, it really helps me remember . Happy Gardening 👩‍🌾

That was the BEST video I've watched about fertilizing. I just did my weekly fertilizing yesterday morning. On a side note, one of my Japanese Maples had experienced some winter damage and was looking a little sad. I fertilized it in early spring with Tree Tone and OH MY GOSH! It is looking amazing. I had never fertilized it before and what a difference it made. It has been a little challenging this year with all of the rain (I'm in Georgia). Dealing with more pest and fungal issues than I ever have before. Would love to see a video on how you deal with those issues.

Hi Jenny! Similar to this video, can you also put together a video on pest and fungus control in the home garden. I suffer greatly from Japanese Beetles, bud worms, spider mites, powdery mildew, etc. I am always so excited this time of year with my garden and new plant purchases. By early July, I am over it with needing to control things destroying all of my hard work. The struggle is real.....

Greetings from Ireland, Great video We have been gardening twenty years and we are lucky that we can make our own compost and mulch the flower beds with it every February. We also add a handful of fish blood and bone meal around each plant at the same time and the plants do not get anything else until the following February. We have fifty two containers of perennials and six containers of annuals and they get tomato feed once a week.

I love how you answered all the questions that popped up while watching your video. You are definitely the best garden teacher on RU-vid. Jenny, you like me. I always wear gloves when using fertilizer and tell my mom, too. She is prone to touching her face. I'm a mama's boy and don't want anything to happen to her. Also, Thank you for saying Jack is okay. I've been looking for PW fert up here in upstate New York, but no one has it. They have Jacks and Espoma only. And I don't know anyone on RU-vid who uses or talks about it.

Thankyou Jenny for sharing your comprehensive insight on fertiliser! We are lucky enough to have very nutrient rich soil where I live ( western norway) -sorry! 😂 , but we still like to fertilise the garden with a ( non smelly ) chicken compost each spring. It helps our flowering shrubs especially to put on a lovely show of colour each season 😊

Great info as always 🥰 Yes, here in the NC Sandhills where we truly garden in sand, regular fertilizing is the difference between a ho-hum garden and one that is spectacular. I started planting annuals with Biotone a few years ago when you first suggested that. Wow, what a difference. Our huge old magnolias in the village of Pinehurst are currently covered in blooms right now. So pretty!! Thanks, Jenny.

Thank you Jenny!!! This will be a video I refer to again - it really did de-mystify things. Clearly I do not fertilize enough!!!! Particularly my annuals, so I am excited to give them a boost this year. You are a wonderful teacher and I really appreciate this video. Your gardens look beautiful. ❤❤

Your place is GORGEOUS!!! I live in Illinois, zone five but have always loved the Carolinas. Really great information on fertilizers. Thanks so much! You explained it in easy to understand terms. We have been pretty dry in Illinois the last few years. Too little rain is as damaging as too much rain. I wanted to cry along with you when you showed the video of all your flooded gardens. Last year my yard got five hail storms in the spring. The last one had golf ball size hail! As you can imagine it devastated my garden which is mostly shade with lots of huge hosta. This year the hosta look great. Plants are resilient. Really enjoy your videos. Hugs!

We want to thank you both for teaching us about the importance of fertilizer. We have 5 spirea (unknown brands-not PW) that we have had 4-5 years. They looked awful and I was ready to pull them. At some point during the winter or early spring, you were talking about fertilizing shrubs, and so in early spring I put down Rosetone. Same thing with a no name Hydrangea that averaged 1-3 blooms a year. Oh my gosh you just can’t imagine the difference. The spirea is getting ready to bloom again and it’s growing-the hygrangea has at least 20 blooms on a 3 1/2-4’ tall shrub!Thank you so much!

Thank you Jenny! Your gardens, both private and public, are living testimonials to the value of a thorough fertilizing program as all are gorgeous. My questions are about the PW continuous release water soluable fertilizer. Is it a foliar feeding fertilizer as well as a root feeder? Also, in your berm, using the tank sprayer, it looks like you use this product on the trees, shrubs, and perennials too, not just the annuals. Is this a do no harm incidental or is the ratio used for annuals equally beneficial to all? ❤
@GardeningwithCreekside
@GardeningwithCreekside 26 дней назад
I believe the Proven Winners Time Release is a foliage/flower fertilizer not necessarily targeting the roots (I could be wrong so don’t quote me on that 😉). No, we only use water soluble fertilizer on our annuals not trees, shrubs & perennials. I do however use the water tank to simply water those plants if needed.
