Ever since I found your channel I have been converting my rental house that is in an HOA into an edible landscaping paradise. As a lawn service owner, it really helps me educate my clients on edible shrubbery. When family come over, it takes longer to tour the landscape AROUND the house than the inside of the house! Thanks for your continued inspiration!

You're fortunate they listen... we are renting and HOA's are EVERYWHERE in Houston. These guys cited to me that my mulched edible front yard even if it's beautiful , valuable, and nice for pedestrians is unacceptable for the reason that nobody else is doing it and might damage the neighborhood value. This is really good to see. Two people in the prime of life fully throwing themselves into permaculture agriculture. In my opinion agriculture and permaculture are the things that need to be taught in schools. We have so many people taking nature for granted. I live in an HOA and it is so hard working within the guidelines of covenants in place. But even I have almost twenty fruit trees in ground. Back to nature baby!

I love their usage of pollination. People can be open and receptive of an idea but can't act on it or have it until someone else comes and pollinates them! Also I wonder just how many people you have inspired Pete! There are those that tell you, and those that never will. How many little forests or gardens exist because someone found you somewhere! Butterfly effect in true form! Also these guys should check into annuals like the Seminole pumpkin that do really well left alone and just harvested from. I have yet to figure out how people actually eat meals with a bunch of flowers and leaves...

I am enjoying your video so much you guys. I wanted to give you some info about those plants that came up by the street with small daisey flowers. I was watching a video from (Florida free living.) This guy is in polk county. He has a lot of wild stuff growing on his land that is eatable. I just learned tonite about that plant and some others he makes salads out of them. The fresh greens on the tips. + lots of other stuff. Reach out to him Pete. He is helping people who are eating wild foods that grow here to help with there health issues including himself. I have been doing some permaculture in my yard also. I'm in st lucie county. You guys are doing a great job passing on the knowledge!. On thing I have learned at my place keep it mulched. Thank you! Lynda.

Thanks gentlemen this is a great video. I like all of the insight that you have shared. I have been working on some similar ideas during these last two years. I have started to see how positive the effects of a permaculture are, in a small section of my environment. I have started to try and implement changes that I can make to foster positive growth of everything around me from recycling waste and water conservation, I have been using way too much water; to adapting how I can work with soil specifically to improve bacterial and Mycelial networks in any soil environment I can improve. Paul Stamets work has been a great influence on me specifically in his work to improve the bee population. I like what your group is doing and it gave me some good ideas for future paths I can follow, thanks.

Hey there, I'm new to the channel, and very very new to permaculture, like I'm still in the research phase until I'm able to purchase my own place (soon). But I just wanted to say thank you! This is inspiring, and I love seeing all the different takes on permaculture principles and this shows how it really can be scaled to whatever you have available to you, even if it's just a small garden bed or potted plants on an apartment balcony! Just take it one plant at a time and build from there, and before you know it you'll have a forest like these guys... That's what I'm taking away from this. So inspired!

I was thinking "they're probably walking with shoes on, they should try and walk barefoot on their yard". But then, at 35:45 it turns out will's been walking barefoot all along. Nice one, nice men with a great plan! Pete, how does that work when you have existing plants and trees and want to add a deep layer of mulch? My current project: I'm moving about 6" of oak and palm mulch to the back forty in an area about 12 x 20. Going to learn a lot with this one. Will be planting a mulberry guild with perennial peanut, gandules, salvia, tithonia and maybe some grass. It's been nice and warm, hope for no freeze this year.

I need someone here to change my mind about mulch. It seems like mulch is the savior to plants. This guy is saying mulch is the reason their plants do so well. I've always could not stand mulch. Even now, if I have shoes on, I will not walk through mulch because it will get everywhere in my shoe. It sounds silly, yes, but I still would like to learn more on how mulch can physically make your plants healthy. Thank you. Cheers :)

Now this is worthy of attention and credit. Anything agricultural/permacultural needs to be brought to more light in this world full of uselessness. Sorry to rant but it’s so true. Way too much materialism and not enough productivity in this world today. Lamborghini’s won’t keep you alive youngsters, although it is cool to have one but I feel that it shouldn’t be something you sacrifice and strive for. But absorbing knowledge from this and the people that behold it, is what y’all need to be doing. Love this stuff!!! Much love and Aloha guys!!!🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🙏🏼 Edit: Dang when they said Tom Brady is old I felt that😔🤦🏽‍♂️🥴😂 I’m the same age. But they’re right. Brady is an excellent example. I mean, the guy is in his forties and killing it on the field. Of course he has all the knowledge and people and resources to upkeep it but still…… just amazing..

The box track by my house has so much run off, it fills spaces in between the tracks and pools up for months, ive always thought it made for some nice permaculture swales
