@@jimmyyap3828 hello Jimmy! Thanks for your reply 😀 I am Scandinavian by name, Australian by birth. Are you related to the Yaps of the NaNa Home-made Curry empire in Singapore? They are my friends.
@@kezbot2 Hello Mate ! I love Australia a lot. Used to tell my friends Land Size of Australia is 7.7 million times larger than Singapore. No I'm not related to the Yaps of Nana
CONGRATULATIONS again Ojisan that you met Jimmy, a very sincere and honest friend. He is also a singing ambassador at large. Enjoyed this video on Kallang food. THANKS. Just love the shirt he has on...
So true that these snacks are under-rated; happy that u enjoyed them & continue to recommend them more to keep our hawker culture alive! & i love how u're always excited about the foods, appreciating them with Uncle Jimmy. Really like ur episodes with Uncle Jimmy 😊👍🏻
Grateful to you TRIS for such kind words for me. Yes we should all give full support to all Hawkers in Singapore for their authentic food - good value for money as well
Hawthorn is fruit and hawthorn juice taste very much like plum.. without adding sugar.. original taste of hawthorn juice is sour... a very good thirst quencher especially in hot humid weather
This old airport hawker centre ls located at kallang baru, once l had worked here since 1999,l was familiar with this place although l am from Malaysia, Changi Airport, payar lebar airpo.. ... ... .. .
Haven’t been home to SG in a while due to Covid.. and watching all your live streams here and at your main channel feels I’m virtually teleported for an hour or two. Thank you so much Ghib! Hope to bump into you sometime. All the best for your videos and I’ll be looking forward to your episode on the red dot in end may :)
Ghib and I are glad you liked the wide variety of food here. They are many more famous and good quality food here in this massive complex. There are also many shops on the upper floor. Check it out when free
I used to visit Old Airport Road Food Centre during this 80s when I was studying at the nearby secondary school. (the school is gone). It is nice place to get inexpensive meals which was definitely good for students with limited pocket money. Ghib and Jimmy, thanks you for bringing back wonderful memories of this place.🙏🏻🥰
Hi Jimmy and Uncle friend, J n J beef noodles is one of my favourite stalls to patronise at Old Airport Road. The food is good, portions are great, and you can taste that J n J puts heart and soul into the cooking and preparation. I walk over from from Geylang Rd to patronise the stall.
You probably knew by now - 67 Killiney Rd Kopitiam out first meeting towards end of GHIB's live stream on What you can eat in Orchard Rd for under 10 dollars
Video shows Jimmy and Japanese visitor trying out what a wonderful eating place old airport food centre is, with so many delicious mouth watering special dishes. There are many other food centres in different district of Singapore but you must go there and try out the fantastic delicious food yourself. Old airport is one of great eating place.
Ghib-san, you can try 2 nice food at Arc 380, the seafood porridge and the curry puff. Near to this there is another coffee shop well known for the Malaysian fried noodles and another stall selling poached porridge.
Jimmy the. Nicest uncle. I wish I had him to pal around with. Do a story on Jimmy’s life. How you met, jimmy life growing up. What he did for a living. Family, etc. He did well driving a Mercedes. Around.
Wah..the hokkien noodles...stalll so rude!! Telling you not to take video... because you didn't order his noodles!! Ha..ha...with that kind attitude I won't eat at the stall....
Lots of very good stalls in this hawker. If you go during evening time, equally packed. There's a stall at the front row selling fish head noodle soup. Have you tried before? Hakka Yong Tau Fu stall is not bad too. Try J2 Famous Crispy Curry Puff at Amoy hawker. I find it taste closest to my grandmother's. The flaky pastry + the fragrant curry filling is excellent. I feel this is lacking in the fragrance department. This one I remember is quite 'bland'. Curry puff filling is not "saucy" more like rendang kind of of "wetness". Also try the chendol stall in Chinatown hawker, they make their own chendol, cold pressed the coconut juice and import their own gula melaka. So good! The nonya chendol stall I tried once and felt totally disappointed.
