YES!At first when she took a patty from one burger and a bun from another, I though "Oh, she's going to make a real burger look good with real pieces! awesome!" but no. It looked great, but I was really hoping to see what she could do with the 12 freaking burgers she was given.

You should try using Colby cheese instead of Kraft singles. That heavily processed “cheese” doesn’t melt like real cheese, and IMO isn’t very appetizing. Otherwise, your work is awesome!!

@@Etianen7 Yeah probably came from a microstock site like Shutterstock or any of them. I often mix my own photographs with elemwnts from microsites so no problem with that.... Those site ahve such great pics from food photo specialist that it is questionable to worth photograph these things at all.

I feel like you'd usually want to draw grill marks with heat (e.g., using a soldering iron). Or by just cooking tons of burgers until you find one that makes you happy. Using shoe polish is stepping into territory that sometimes triggers FTC backlash.

Here's Rishon's reply: "Every Food Stylist has a different background of experience. I have a degree in Journalism and in Culinary, and I also worked in restaurants and cooked all the time growing up. I recommend taking an interest in food and cooking in school as best you can, and then when it’s time for college, look into food science, nutrition, baking, culinary, ect. and see what looks like the best fit for you. When it comes time, the best experience will be working with a Food Stylist as apprentice or an assistant. "
