I'm hoping you see this. So In a few ramen styling videos I've seen, there seems to be a little round grate placed in the bowl with the noodles placed on top of that. Do you happen to know what it's called? I'm going to be doing ramen styling/photography for my job and I'm trying to learn as much as I can.

@Kimberly Navarro Hi! I am not familiar with the item you are referring to. I’m assuming it acts to keep the noodles and the other items from sinking into the liquid too much. However, that is easily achieved by using other things as well. For instance, when I have styled ramen I use the noodles as padding to fill the bowl, place my toppings and then add my (room temperature) broth to the desired height. You can also use fake ice cubes, aluminum foil (balled up), and even a small bowl that fits into your prop bowl flipped upside down as “padding”. I sent all the ramen from set home with our camera op/producer 😊 he said it was delicious. And then I took some of the other fixin’s and made dinner for my husband and myself. We love that Trader Joe’s pork belly! - Rishon
