There’s something comforting about MatPat being like “hey, I’m obviously gonna keep eating food after this.” We tend to think of endings as these painful, permanent cutoff, but MatPat’s just going to go do something else now. He’ll still be there, enjoying life, even if we don’t get to see him on the screen every week, and I think that’s pretty cool.

i meaaan idk, I think Santi definitely shows up more than the others, but that's just on camera. The other 3 must truly be carrying if matt trusts them with the channels. Also with how much he props Amy up, I'm thinkin' style theory will do amazingly, especially since game and film theory have some overlap, both of them being media and the other two being ways of life.

My daughter introduced me to this the theory channels a couple years ago. They hold a special place in my heart as these videos were something we looked forward to each week. Food theory was something that I could watch whenever. When my grandma died or when I wanted a laugh. It inspired me to start cooking and question food mascots. One thing I loved about this channel was how you poured your life into the channel for us. Love you Matpat you will be missed.

I swear the title of "bittersweet" could not be more accurate. Me and my sister, we were looking at this and going "wow, what a long way this has come! I can't believe this is ending!" And then...... We saw the colors on the cake and the thumbnail. And we were just like, "oh my freaking gosh it is the channel colors. We need to watch this. We need to cry." Matpat, thank you for years and years of laughter, and for helping me find ways to be inspired and encouraged that I can follow my own dreams, no matter how wonky or absolutely wild they may seem. god matpat you're gonna make me cry, i was/am a picky eater too, i've also been through what i think was an eating disorder, i have fear foods from both. eating is hard for me, i often just choose easy unhealthy stuff because it tastes good, its not complicated and i know i like it. this channel is really inspiring me to eat more things, after years of my parents trying and it never working, almost crying because i don't like anything i try, and other bad experiences with food, this video alone (and the last one which really made me think about my heritage and food culture in my family and country) motivated me to eat more things and try more without being scared, you really have made an impact on so many people's lives theres no way to thank you

Akira Toriyama, creator of Dragon Ball, died and the news came out of it today. Today is the end of this chapter for MatPat on this channel. I'm genuinely in tears. Freelance Editor Sealion here Theorist fans, and I gotta tell you somethin about when I was working on this episode. Truth be told, I was never at any point in time a 'Theorist fan', I got this gig thanks to Editor Sedge being an amazing editor and friend, but as I was working on the final 7 minutes of this episode, while I was planning out the edits in this episode and I heard Matt's final VO audio for the first time, even I got teary-eyed and moved by how sincere and genuine he sounded. Honestly, Food Theory had never been my favorite to begin with, but I realized more and more as time went on just how valuable those moments in the kitchen, learning about food and especially spending time with loved ones there was so impactful, not only for the audience, but also for you guys. And I will seriously miss the shenanigans that Matt and Steph got up to, but I am so excited to see what Santi brings to the table (pun originally unintended, and now totally intended). We'll miss you Matt, but I can't wait to see what Santi does now!

This brought me to tears. For many others understandably, they were introduced to matpat through game theory or even film theory. However, I was a little late to the game and I actually started out with food theory. My favorite episodes were the ones about cereal mascots and I would check every day to see a food theory episode. I love all of the channels, but matpat leaving really hits home for me here. I hope to see santi carry out the same spirit of the channel that he did. Thank you for 4 years of delicious content.

4 years of MatPat on food theory and no matter how much I think I'm ready for it, this departure is gonna hit me hard. I was nearly full on crying just with this episode and it's final speech. I've grown up with Game Theory and Film Theory, had as many confused stares at FNaF as MatPat has and learned a ton from his wild and wacky journey. Thank you, Matthew, for being one of the best people to eagerly await the next upload on RU-vid. And that's not a theory. I'll miss you dearly❤❤

I put off watching this just because i couldn't accept this was your last episode.. Film theory was my favorite of your channels up until Food Theory came out. So many memories over the past 4 years filled with Food Theory on the TV. Getting my 1st house, married, 1st child. Being along for the ride with you from the very start of Food Theory just feels so special and seeing everything youve been able to accomplish all while accomplishing my own sucesses in life is something that i will always appreciate of you. I wish you all the best in whats to come! Thanks MatPat!

I got really emotional during Matt's goodbye. I'm so glad he's proud of himself and all the growth he's had here; I know what it's like to feel like you're not confident in an area of life, and to completely turn that around takes a ton of courage. To start this channel feeling like he wasn't versed in food was already so brave, but then to do everything he did here is amazing. We're proud of you, too, Matt. Food Theory is indeed a special one, I think it's the most universal of your channels and one that truly anyone can enjoy, and I know Santi will make you proud as he takes it to the next chapter ♥️

I have to say that hearing MatPat's voiceover at the end of the episode as he explains how much food theory meant to him.... almost made me cry. I love this channel and I look forward to the next chapter. Thank you so much for all of your hard work MatPat and Steph.
