Political Racketeering they don't want the competition our council members are guilty of it with all types of business not just food, construction etc they should worry about fixing the streets and the homeless issues instead of stealing from the people who are trying to do something
It's so stupid. Especially as purchasing a trailer is a more reliable point of business because it can move with any vehicle, even when trucks get stuck, break down, or otherwise. And THIS is why cities like Houston grow tenfold. It was only last year in May that some midcities allowed pop-ups and carts last year when they'd allowed brick and mortars to launch food trucks already. Literally had to be rich to start up and since people began their own business in more AFFORDABLE and CREATIVE ways, cities just see a profit. It's sick. And the gentleman was right, inequitable. 😤
