FYI : ThuNka Poori (Nt ThuMka) z a seasonal dish (Good Luck findin it Offseason).. N We Odiyas, eat 'ODIYA' Food, Nt Odishi Food. N Odissi z an ancient classical coastal dance form.. Food n Odishi, 2 whole different things.. We wud love it if our fellow Indians knew the fact.. N WE R NT SOUTH INDIANS.. Love ur show.. Hats Off..

Bahut bahut shukrya Ji.:) I really would love to visit all of India one day.:) My favorite dishes are Malie Kofta, Channa Palak, Punjabi Kadhi, Aloo Ghobi, Baingan Bharta, and Aloo/Paneer/Ghobi/and Muli Parathas too. I may be half Punjabi, and half Italian but my heart and spirit are all Punjabi.:)

hey mayur nd Rocky..I'm from Western Odisha just cm to my home ..u might different kind of food like dried bamboo shot khata...besar Badi.. different kind of greens..and drinks also just come once here.....and a famous sweet know as sarsatia..which is made from the glue of a tree..nd u can gt it only nrusheenghanath temple which is situated at gandhamardan parvat.. (Hanuman find the sanjivani booti from this mountain)...

I am sorry for that fellow who told you about the Thumka Puri. Thumka puri is not a famous food at cuttack. But you can get in any well furnished restaurant at cuttack and Bhubaneswar.You missed famous Raghubhai's Dahibara aloo dum at cuttack. next time if you visit to cuttack, plan to visit my house, my mom is a good cook. so you can eat many numbers of authentic odiya food. And I will prepare thumka puri for you.
Swapna Achary cuttack z nt a small it's a very big district,and a city,one of d oldest city more than 1000 yrs , more older than Kolkata,a city of joy famous 4 silver filigree work and famous 4 soul food dahivada aloodum and rasgullas.its 2nd largest populated and developing district in Orissa.being an odia u shd know these thngs.

Royal hotel , cuttack biryani is one of the best I have eaten till now. Being posted for 4 years there I got to taste it.Being from Avadh & having second home in Hyderabad & travelled across the country I can say with certainty that this Biriyani is one of the best. Simple but very yummy
Hey guys, I recommend you to come Rourkela (The smart city). You can find a lots of varieties of food with good teast and nice price... And yes the famous food which is I like the most that is Manchurian.. just visit once, you never being disappointment... And one more thing your show is awesome...

Hi guyz, loved your this episode on authentic Oriya food. I know I'm bit late but wanna suggest that if you want to have Thumka puri its available in Bhubaneshwar all the year round at a stall near Big Bazar (Patia,Chandrasekharpur). When I was there some years back I used to have it there.P.S: Please reconfirm from your sources at Bhubaneshwar as it was 2-3 Years back. I'm not residing there now.Thanks:)

Im from cuttack its not dahi aloodum its dahi bara aloodum.I will recommend u to eat it near barabati stadium in evening.Rembember the red van is the best place to eat dahibara.not small stalls.okk
Very nice show! I am actually Punjabi and half Italian, but I have never been to India, I was born and raised here in America, New York City. My Dad was born in Amritsar and Mom was born here in America. But I would love to visit all of these great places when I come to visit India. :) Which part of India is this? Which state? Try out mitha dahi n peda from Kolkata sweets and Ram bhai dahibara aloodum . (Highly recommended).. If you come post diwali you can get those thunka puri in Nitai sweets near high court

Please come and try the pani poori ( golgappa ) of jamshedpur. Near Basant talkies . Jamshedpur ( jharkhand ) . timings 9 AM TO 1 PM . I bet you cannot find the best pani puri . Also try more street food . Gopal dosa near Jubli park . Madrasi dosa , jamshedpur and many more
