Man their voices transcends time and brings back such great nostalgia. Ladies and gentlemen, The Mighty, Mighty, Mighty O’JAYS. You’ve got to love it!!!❤❤❤❤
Eddie's voice is a powerhouse. I go all the way back to the world famous Apollo Theater with the O'Jays. It's a blessing to see that he's still performing. It doesn't matter if he stands up or sits down it's about that voice, the Philly sound of soul ❤❤❤🔥💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
Years of Eddie Yelling and hollering is a Big Deal , he puts his entire soul in the song ! Glad seeing him , participate while sitting ,as the leader 😅
I remember growing up watching them on soul train back in the early 70s as a little girl now here I'm 61,of age won't he do it.Give them their flowers and blessing to all 3,💐💐🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽
The Legendary O’Jays! I went to school with Eric “Binky” Grant and his brothers in Cleveland! Remembered buying the Ship Ahoy album in middle school, ahhh the memories ❤
Darlin’ Darlin’ Baby (Sweet, Tender, Love) Killed it! Man this sounds so so good! Long live Eddie Lavert but when he enters the gates of Heaven, man oh man, I know that Heavenly Choir will be completed.
I am amazed at this. Eddie’s pipes are still sounding pretty good, and people forget that Walter Williams is dancing and he’s been battling multiple sclerosis for over half of his career. A lot of people don’t know that he’s a walking and dancing miracle.
The O'Jays are an American R&B group from Canton, Ohio, formed in summer 1958 and originally consisting of Eddie Levert, Walter Lee Williams, William Powell, Bobby Massey, and Bill Isles. The O'Jays made their first chart appearance with the minor hit "Lonely Drifter" in 1963, but reached their greatest level of success once the producers Gamble & Huff signed them to their Philadelphia International label in 1972. With Gamble & Huff, the O'Jays (now a trio after the departure of Isles and Massey) emerged at the forefront of Philadelphia soul with Back Stabbers (1972), and topped the US Billboard Hot 100 the following year with "Love Train". Several other US R&B hits followed, and the O'Jays were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005, and the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame in 2013. I hope they still doing it for the love of it and not any debts I know we appreciate them for still putting it down like so tru OG's they music lifts my soul ....Blessing and love
His vocal is warm and as clear as the day he began singing the real deal better than anything borrowed ❤better than anything said better than singing. Bright out loud or being spotted in.a crowd better than anything except being in love. These are the greatest singer's timeless
Was able to see the Ojays in 2007 at the taste of Chicago. Eddie was the best part of the show. He was showing out dancing and cussing 😂. Keep on living King!
I thought the O’Jays retired. I rather watch this clip of a classic oldies act than any of the bs goin on today. Diggin the red outfits. Mr. Levert deserves to be sitting and crooning from the chair. He earned it! As long as fans still wanna see them, that’s all that matters.
