Hope you don't mind a Villa fan jumping in. Firstly absolute respect for your club, manager, team and your fantastic unigue ground. As Villa fans we went into this match knowing we'd have to turn up as you are a very good team with a Manager very much in the same mold as our Emery both tactically with his coaching abilities are to be admired as well. You covered a lot of things in the podcast that I agree with including we weren't quite at our best, but wld just add although we won, you are definitely on the right track. And this season guaranteed clubs will not relish playing you at home and won't be looking forward to playing you at their ground. Good luck with the rest of the season, you dust off and go again.

If it wasn’t a foul by Anderson, (he blatantly pushed Watkins in the back), it wasn’t a handball by Cash, (the ball was headed directly at his arm from a yard away). The key decisions balanced out. Personally, I think both were correct under the current laws, (whether the laws are good is a whole other debate however).
btw very enjoyable episode and I love the pub audience vibe and interaction too. p.s. only thing to add, sorry I couldn't help it. I do think we need more pantomime or mad characters in the game. I can't stand how the money and the Pep's of this world have sanitized everything. Emi is admittedly an absolute wind up merchant to opposition fans and players, very competitive and actually thrives on reactions from fans. Maybe this isn't too weird as its often the case but although quirky he actually is a really nice guy outside of these moments. He fought hard in life to be where he is now with a lot of ups and downs. I guess he is the kind of player you love to have on your team but someone who opposition fans absolutely loath. Long may it continue... 😉

being clutch is actually a good thing, look up the meaning. You might not be the Gerrard team anymore, but you weren't incredibly good, Fulham were just playing terrible. Accept it.
