I love how so many different teams, different nations, different tactics got to dominate European football in different eras. The British, the Dutch, the Spanish, the Germans, the Portuguese, the Italians etc. All have their own eras of domination
@@antigamer1833 jurgen klopp(2018-19),hansi flick(2019-20),thomas tuchel(2020-21)in every team there was a german coach. German coaches have won hattrick ucl.
My first thought bout german football: Goalkeepers Kahn, Neuer, Maier, Ter Stegen, Trautmann, Schumacher, Klos, Lehmann, Stein, Aumann, Weidenfeller, Butt, Immel, Turek, and of course Karius
Germans were playing high defence line pressing football till 2014 WC but at the WC they took the world by surprise with new footballing philosophy and introduced sweeper-keeper to high defence line masterstroke
Gladbach
hansi flick was assistant coach in the 2014 world championship, after that he was sports director at DFB till 2017. then he left for hoffenheim and everything at DFB went down the shitter. coincidence? probably not entirely.
Lampard's Goal at 2-1 didn't count despite crossing the line this would have left the score at 2-2 at half-time with England having the momentum, just saying.
I always thought it wad obvious that strategy/ intelligence should be the main aspect of the game, yet never saw particular interest in that idea; it was buffling; until I watched germany;they are also big and strong and seem to be trained to the 100%; intelligence + physicality will always beat "nice pretty play", is obvious; with that being said, I think you can ALSO develop nice play with very specific repetitive drills of specific techniques, which is something I still don't see any team doing;
It seems like German football stands for a lot of things that don't have essentially to do with the skills on the ball itself. Defensive thinking, high pressing, high intensity and tactical variability are all seperated ideas apart from the quality of the players with the ball. RB Leipzig is the best example for this. They display all those above mentioned qualities except for technical good football. They show how far you can get without having a lot of individual class. You get far but not to the end. Therefore I think German managers put the individual quality of their players not in one of the first three columns. It's a nice to have but not necessarily needed attribute. And this sounds strange to me. I agree that you also need the other components BUT the individual quality of the players should also rank really high !
I always thought this was obvious yet never saw particular interest in strategy as the central topic, except in germany; they are also big and strong and seem to be trained to the 100%; intelligence + physicality will always beat "nice play", is obvious; with that being said, I think you can ALSO develop nice play with very specific repetitive drills of specific techniques, which is something I still don't see any team doing;
@@BhagyanagarRE nahhhhh, this guy had a golden generation and only won one wc, we could have an crazy era of dominance, if not for this overthinking and not determined enough dude.
Easy: Nobody want's to be the goalkeeper and everyone tries to score a goal, no matter of their position when they try...and many of them have a lot of talent.
The problem with Germany now is that the high defensive line and overloading the midfield tactic is outdated. I feel like Germany can be an excellent counter attacking team if they sit back on mid to low block. Germans love size and physicality. However, what happens when there big players move too much up front? They get counter hard.
@@stironeceno Who cares. The Italians have won nothing recently and germany everything. Soooo what? xD And Italian football is really bad anyway and no one in europe cares about... Do you even have any coaches right now that are worth mentioning? Let me think..... oh no you havent xD
@@randomdude8877 , I'm talking about National team's games between Germany and Italy .got it ? . Nothing to do with clubs teams loaded with International players , you know like most European teams do .
German bundesliga and serie a the only top league whose teams average play attacking beautiful, fast football, la liga and premier league become slower and boring with possesion and lack dangerous goal chance
@@christiangermaine2396 Something like that happens once every few decades, no matter the league. It's not like clubs fighting relegation, win the championship on such frequent occasions, or else it wouldn't be such a big deal. In 98' newly promoted Kaiserslautern won the Bundesliga, same story. In 07' Stuttgart won. In 2010/11 Dortmund won and so on.
A WorldCup win always shows that a nation has good football players but what it also shows is that this country is wealthy and educated and experienced enough to bring up such a good team. Just think of African countries if they would be as wealthy as Europe... They would smash us all in every sport.
I don't think it's wrong way to succeed yes they need more organization and sophistication but it's their way of playing. They play it expressing themselves the most. And let's be honest when the best of it is in display it's enthralling to watch. It becomes more than a sport. It becomes a dance. Nothing like that in any football history. Germans have their own way of doing things. Let's celebrate and enjoy both approachs and learn from both not ridicule or criticize any.
