Brazil's defeat was such a national mourning, given that the country had a lot of pressures to win at home soil. In 2014, they repeated this with a 1-7 thrashing over Germany, but not as worse as the 1950 when it comes to fan behaviour.
I think what happened was that they thought that a decision by a referee for a previous match was unfair, so to protest they scored own goals for the entire match
There would be no highlights. Also, there are only 90 minutes in a league match. The losing team decided to purposely score own goals to protest for unknown reasons.
@@Historia_Paralela so just say european instead of english lol. There's absolute zero english keepers from the 21st century that ppl even consider as one of the best.
@@akulahirpada1993 the point is if he was English, people would put him in a pedestal. He was a very good to great GK (called up twice to WC as a sub for Marcos and Dida), was a great free kick taker, played with his feet before it was cool, proved himself in big matches (such as in club WC vs Liverpool), has a record of most matches for a club and as their captain. If he was English, he'd be the national team starting GK for more than a decade. But no one bats an eye because he played in Brazil and had crazy loyalty for his club
The real number of people at the World Cup final could very well be a lot higher since stadium security was almost nonexistent and many people could have snuck in. The official number of people is 199,854.
@@kostask8866 not even close, all those are likely, we have only a few decades of football history, imagine in 2100, probably all records will be beaten
i think the brazil vs paraguay record is pretty unbreakable, because to fit this many people in the Maracanã back in the day they had to break many safety rules, people were watching games from the roof of the stadium
I will add some notable records in football: 1.Oldest professional footballer: We might know about Kazuyoshi Miura, who was still an active footballer, despite almost reaching 60 years, but Egyptian's Ezzeldin Bahader was an insane when it comes to this feat. He was 74 years when he played in Egypt's third division back in October 2020. 2.Footballers with most titles: Every world class players like Ronaldo or Messi might have a lot of trophies, but Gibraltar's Lee Casciaro has 57 major national silverwares since 1998!!! He was also the oldest footballer to play in European Championship qualification, when he played for Gibraltar against Greece. 3.Most own goals in one game: It has to be happened in 2022, when New Zealand's women footballer Meikayla Moore had her rare hattrick own goals against USWNT. However, for the men's side, Belgian's Stan van den Buys did this with Germinal Ekeren in 1995. 4.Clubs with most goals on top level competitions: Liverpool FC scored a whopping 9.219 goals, a feat achieved as a result of numerous big wins, including the infamous 7-0 victory over Manchester United. 5.Most successful managers of all time: Definitely, Sir Alex Ferguson. He has 49 major silverwares, 17 of which came with Manchester United between 1986 and 2013. 6.Clubs with most major silverwares: Real Madrid might have become the most decorated team in Spain and Europe, with 35 league titles and 14 European Cups, but Rangers had a whopping 118 major silverwares, which was 2.5x times than Real Madrid. 7.Longest penalty shootouts: In March 2022, Washington defeated Bedlington in amateur competitions held in England by 25-24, with 54 penalties required to kill the game. More information can be found in the following link below: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_world_association_football_records
I am not so sure about Ranger's record. In their wiki they have only 111 major silverware while the Egyptain team Al Ahly has 118 major silverware. There is also the fact that the company Ranger "officially" stopped existing in 2012 and started anew(I believe they didn't keep their fifa coefficient either). So for record keeping some could say that official record holders are Al Ahly.
@@SirFeeshy i mean i dont have a playstation or any type of console at home so that's probably why i am bad. I only play fifa when im at my friends house
@@jsgv7935 I know, it’s just that most people don’t know the term “Malagasy” considering the term isn’t in use anymore because the term “Madascaran” is to describe somebody in Madagascar. Do research before you correct someone
The club manager was very angry because his last game was lost cause the refeere made a lot of bad choices so he talked to his team make the maximum of own goals result: his team was banned of the national cup for 10 years 😂😂👏👏
The 149:0 was a setteled match. Both teams were in the middle of the table and got nothing to loose but they wanted to be in statistics for ever. So they tossed a coin and the winner got the biggest win of all time in football.
It's real, well maybe not in the way you expect. l'Emyrne purposefully own goaled every chance they got in order to protest against refereeing decisions that were allegedly rigged.
the most individual goals scored in a single match wasnt in fact Archie Thompson. it was actually Stephan Stanis and he scored 16 in 1 match for Lens for the cup on December 11th 1942 against Auby-Asturies
The World Cup final attendance can be broken in the future as the population is growing and we might see renovations or new stadiums build for more audience.
If Brazil won the 1950 world cup the whole stadiums would crumble and a horrible accident would happen killing a bunch of people. The Stadium wasn't meant to support that ammount of people and if all those people were celebrating I'm sure it wouldn't handled all the jumping.
Me: *scores 35 goals in fifa against the computer in 30 minutes, on beginner level, thinking that's a world record* That game that ended with 149-0 in 2002: "HOLD MY BEER!"
The 149-0 was all own goals out of protest and 1950 didn't have a World Cup final. It had a final group, it's just coincidence that the only two teams who could win the World Cup going into the last match were Brazil and Uruguay.
6. Pele's 3 world cups 7. Messi's 91 goals in a year 8. Ronaldo's UCL goals (i think it was 141 or something) 9. Modric, Carvajal and Nacho Fernandez 6 UCL'S 10. Messi's 8 Ballon D'ors 11. Ronaldo's 5 Ballon D'ors 12. Van Basten's 3 Ballon D'ors retiring at 28
The Archie Thompson fact is slightly wrong he did score 13 goals but the former highest scoring game was 36-0 between Arbroath and Bon accord where John Petrie scored 13 goals
