I'm from Cyprus and I used to study @portsmouth and lived 200 meters from fratton park! 2011-2012 probably the hardest times for pompey but you could see 20000 people going every week supporting the club! Went to couple of matches, became a fan from the moment I stepped in! PUP!

The nutcase brother of an old mate of mine did it the other way around. Went in to the Den with the Hammers supporters, picked a spot near the back and took off his jacket to reveal a Millwall shirt. He got exactly the reaction he was looking for, traded punches for a minute or so, then clambered over a fence to avoid being overwhelmed. I only have second hand testimony on this, I didn't witness it myself. He was one of those Kiwi adrenaline junkies - super-fit, martial arts expert and all that.

I aint a Pompey or Saints fan but you cannot deny this guys passion for the club. I meant like 3 relegation and 2 administrations. He really is a true diehard fan! Also its funny how football can go sometimes Pompey were playing in the PL while the Saints were in League 1 and now its like roles reversed.. Both these teams deserve to be in the PL.

Love all the saints fans comments just because they don't have any recognisable fans because they had a few thousand a few years ago in league 1, Pompey's average home attendance was around 16000 for a league 2 club, higher than some championship clubs! John is a legend! Saints won't be in the Prem much longer considering they lost most of their half decent players! #PUP

***** That was last season, we can't do much about the crooks that practically dismantled our great club. This year is a whole different matter. Lets face a few facts: Pompey WILL get back to the Championship/Premier League, Pompey still to this day have won more major honours than Southampton. Southampton have failed to beat us in the last four attempts.

You can’t be a glory hunter if you’ve supported the same club your entire life, and that club just happens to to be in the premier league. I will admit that lower league support is a standout time capsule of football support from earlier decades gone by, no need for lower teams to constantly go yo between insulting bigger clubs when they’re down and spitting on their lower tier rivals when they’re up. Fucking weird.

I live in America and it sucks that football is so isolated from our culture. I am starting a supporter club for a local club, the way I want to model the supporters is after Pompey! Just great fans, even better atmosphere!! The next video is going to a match with John you can't love football until your in the stands singing or doing something for the community with your football family.
