I have to hard disagree. Assuming this to be the truth, what would stop NaPoM from performing roll like this every round? Or what would stop me from doing the same round twice? In the context of a rap battle, imagine re-using your same bars versus 2 people? I stand by my decision for FootboxG this battle and I don't think this battle was close.

​@@indicatorbeatbox Agreed, but everyone's saying Inertia using the same bass, etc, it get's boring, etc. But I find Footbox much more repetitive. Although he's crazy and I love his rounds. He spams the tongue/lip/poly sound (I don't know the name) all the time. Uses similar fillers in a lot of battles. and so on. A lot of his rounds, similar to Inertia, are built on a very similar sound set. At the end of the day it's just preference. I would've voted Footbox in this battle. But I hate it when the opponent goes "your repeating" when they do the same thing, to an extent.

​@@northover6015​exactly. Famous singers, Rappers, and performers have specific styles, sounds, runs, etc but no one would get hype if the same song was performed 4 times in one night or whatever. But you still enjoy their amazing runs, or their hype rap style, or whatever is unique to them that they excel at every single time. So saying inertia's bass or footbox's beat patterns are too repetitive is like saying eminems rhyme patterns or Michael Jackson's hoo-hoos are too repetitive. Now, if you show up and those famous folks put on a sub-par performance, then that's just a bad time and disappointment in their performance quality, not because they sound similar all the time. Even if a beatboxer repeats a round that previously helped them win and don't perform it well, regardless if a judge has heard it before or not, then it was sub-par. Same if every round is brand new but using techniques either unique to them or that they excel at. Just because inertia has powerful bass, if his timing is off and other sounds don't pitch correctly, points are removed. Same with footbox, if his timing is off or patterns are not structured well, points are removed. If the round is performed 100 percent perfectly but is the exact same round used before, creativity points taken off. If they face someone who gives a brand new routine perfectly, then those creativity points and reusing rounds cost them. All that said, many actually do reuse rounds from prior, smaller contests they've entered. Just like comedians perform routines at smaller venues before taping their netflix special. There's nothing wrong with doing so, gives them experience and knowledge as to how crowds react and judges score the rounds before making it to the big stage so-to-speak. With that said, at gbb level, entrants should be at the level that they know what is expected.

@@indicatorbeatbox Napom does roll like this every battle i've seen of him. And he still wins the battles, I think that actually proves my point that you can use the same routines over and over again and still win. Because you should always judge it as it's your first time seeing it.

It’s a competition, not a single battle. You get minus points for repeating yourself and that’s how it should be. Inertias strength is also his biggest weakness. He has a very cool style but he also relies a lot on it not getting stale.
