The Western Bulldogs old and original name "Footscray".
This was until later in 1996 when they decided to change there name to Western Bulldogs so they can try to get the western suburbs in Victoria follow the football.
Here is the Western Bulldogs theme song.

Why don’t they make this the VFL theme? The name is there, it fits better and is nostalgic to the older Bulldogs fans.

@@lukestubbs. you could possibly be right seeing I myself haven't been to a Footscray VFL game but in some VFL song compilations I've seen they've used the Fable Singers for Footscray

I liked "FOOTSCRAY" 100% better than the Western Bulldogs name!!! The board shouldn't never thought that idea in the first place back at the end of 1996!!! I hope the Board will change it's mind and named back to Footscray where it belongs PERIOD!!!!
