Guy has given his life to footy mate. From a young sports journo through to a club president. He bats for the life of footy. Off his own bat. That’s how he became a millionaire
The cost of living impacts everything. These venues need to pay for all there bills as well as all there staff. There costs have gone up, the same as your local grocery store. If you're worried about costs then look at the government not the businesses.
@allisonhughes4348 Cool story. Completely irrelevant to the OP talking about an out of touch millionaire essentially having his 'let them eat cake' moment but keep batting for Eddie, maybe he'll notice you.
@@LAT04 That's just an excuse and your example of grocery stores is terrible given that fact that both Coles and Woolies are going to appear before the Royal Commission later in the year. Can't keep using "cost of living" and "inflation" to excuse soaring price rises. It just simply doesn't add up.
They're Talking about expanding the game in other areas of the country, throwing up ideas for clubs to have home games away from home ground. Why isnt he campaigning for the "biggest club in the land" to move some of their home games away from the mcg?
Oh yeah let's have 100,000 less supporters attend for the season, make less money and actually stall the growth of the AFL as a business, yeah cmon guys let's go yeah let's play collingwood games in Albury
@@RyanQuinn0397 banking on the same people that show up every week isn't growing the game. That's stagnating. Eddie always "supports" other teams making sacrifices.
@@RyanQuinn0397 doesn't help anywhere else does it though? The whole conversation was about teams playing games elsewhere to grow the game. "Oh no collingwood can't leave the mcg" Just more typical collingwood self importance. Then he talks about the deal with the mcg about finals being played elsewhere in exchange for more collingwood games like that wasn't going to happen without them. No way all the other teams would let that happen. Rubbish. Just typical Eddie ego.
even when collingwood werent winning games im sure stats will show their crowds were better than the successful teams that season. bulldogs go to darwin and ballarat because they cost the afl money to play games at the mcg with the lack of supporters. they dont always sell out marvel do they ? and its not all eddie and ego, i think people underestimate the amount of money the mcc can influence with their 100 year lease of the biggest moneymaking stadium in the country. @@troyjackson3832
what are peole complaining about , football became too expensive for families 20 odd years ago. i was a blues supporter in adelaide. i had a port power membership so i could go watch the footy. i would have had to secure four memberships if i wanted to take a wife and two kids.
So the draw is rigged ...it's a f..Ken joke ...the deal needs to be torn up The afl needs to tera up this deal...it's a joke ...no wonder interstate teams can't win a flag ...2 in the last 16 ....imagine if Brisbane played 15 games at the gabba..
And during the 2000s interstate teams won six in a row, and if interstate teams make the top 4 they are basically guaranteed making the GF, and jf the team is good they should have twelve wins ticked on the board, melbourne teams dont have a home ground advantage, stop whinging.
