I think I’ve just realised something… SPINEL IS LITERALLY JUST PINKIE PIE AS A GEM Heck, even her appearance looks similar, bright shades of pink, when she’s happy and dark shades of pink when she’s super depressed. Plus, Human/Equestria Girl Pinkie wears a white top, with a pink heart in the centre, similar to Spinel’s past form, which also has a white top with her pink heart gem in the centre. She even has a similar, if not the same personality, she is happy, cheerful, upbeat and energetic, but can also feel sadness, just as deeply, when pushed that far, even to the point of going crazy. Steven is Sans from Undertale and Spinel is Pinkie Pie from MLP FIM… and Peridot is (ironically) Pearl, from Splatoon 2
