There is a much stronger connection between the history of the Horde and Azeroth in the cinematic than we all realized. When he talks about the history of the First Horde he talks about the genocide the Orcs committed on the Draenei, their bones paving the Path of Glory. The thing is though is that it wasn’t the Draenei that were just killed, Draenor itself was destroyed by the Horde. The planet itself was desolate and dying, the future of the Orcs was in doubt and it was their own fault. It’s the whole reason why they came to Azeroth, they didn’t do it for fun or glory, they did it because it was the Orcs’ only chance at survival. That leads us to the previous seemingly disconnected statements of the cinematic, the dishonor of the Horde and how Azeroth is their home. Saurfang is realizing that it is happening again, the world is in danger of dying while the Horde fights on. If Azeroth dies they have no place to go, there is no alien version of Medivh to help them travel to a new world. Saurfang didn’t just mean breaking the cycle of conflict between the Alliance and Horde. He also meant breaking the cycle of the Horde destroying its world.
I'm not sure if the factions will end. Remember, Tyrande and Talanji were noticably absent. Maybe the factions will become more complex? Like the traditional Horde/Alliance will each have splinter groups, so technically we'll have 4 factions? Well, no matter what, I like the progression toward seeing oneself as an Azerothion first. Out poor Titan planet needs our loyalty to her as top priority right now!
Another thing about Saurfang wanting to put Azeroth first: he watched as the use of Fel among the orcs slowly destroyed Draenor. Azeroth is severely wounded and needs to be fixed. If the traditional factions end, all our energies can be used to saving our home.
I really think with the right story and time Anduin has a chance to be even better and deeper character then his father.... Saurfang was always amazing and one of my 3 favorite horde and this is coming from alliance 90% of my time from BC to end of Legion. This was just a fantastic cut scene.... after 15 years Activision, change this up... add a 3rd faction and stop the tired horde vs allience non sense like BC, Litch King, and Cataclysm never happened..... #evolve.
after the new interface which shows your faction for no apparent reason i think factions will be handled like with the pandaren and you can choose which you want to belong to like in FFXIV for example. most hardliners are gone and saurfang was the last orc from the original dark portal invasion. I think its great i hate beeing limite to the races of one faction and would rather play what i want, which if i want to play with my friends cant right now. If they arew horde i can neither play a worgen a dreanei nor a dwarf.
Saurfang saying "Honor? I never known honor" cuts so damn deep, it hits me so hard! Saurfang is said to be The embodiment of honor, and to me, he always is!
and here i am think this is the end of the game. i had this thought sense i saw the title of the expansion. they will put a end to it. and it will be with style.
