In her core she was just a scared little girl, who watched her village get butchered and just wanted a chance to save them again, in her mind, at final battle of the castle. Where she gave protection from it's citizens. But she failed.
I bet she would beat you unconscious if she found out you were bullied at school and then she would invite bully to your home and praise him in front of you.
@@XeraphinaTheAngel indeed, apollyon is strong, those under her lead will find glory and truth All others who oppose her will find only pain, suffering, and death

Old lore of For Honor could have been explored more, I miss the more grounded approach to this game's storytelling. Instead of culture mixing and building roads we have primordial messengers of death and magical runes...
So for honors story....could make an amazing new fantasy medieval franchise, I've thought this for a long time, in my head it's similar to what mortal Kombat did, designed based on a cool idea, "what if these things were to fight". But the lore the team has built around it has me so interested in the actual world, I would honestly pay decent money for more campaign so long as it continues the kind of story it's told so far, realistic story in a world which diverged greatly and has all the fantasies and legends of our world, but were real at some point. And of course, any campaign, novel, comic, or movie/series needs to be violent, that original trailer when you saw the bodies in the snow got me so hyped before launch.
And then it get retconned from low fantasy to high fantasy (life extending crystals, magic and pooosibly dragons. Also high chance of heroes from too far diverse era like the pirate and sadly the western style romans since they dont look like byzantine kind.)
so if I’m interpreting correctly - over a millennium ago, the Vikings of Valkenhiem had a great empire across the land, and had given a small part of the West to the growing ‘European’ Knights. 1,000 years ago, the Cataclysm (most likely a mix of volcanic and tectonic activity) left Ashfeld in ruin, destroyed a land far to the east, and froze the seas to the North. 500 years pass and the knights have reestablished themselves through the lands and are able to repel a weakened Samurai force that seeks refuge. Another 400 or so years pass and the seas thaw, allowing the Vikings to return who want to reclaim the land they lost. Now, with everyone seeking refuge in Ashfeld, tensions rose. all it needed was a spark to ignite the gunpowder of war
