Question actually, im also trying to improve at shaolin (practising deflects and not falling for feints) my question is though, you seemed to land a lot of parries when the opponent could have easily faked them. How did you know they were actually going to put their attacks through and not fake?
@@QuietusFH Understood, I am getting that concept more and more I was just unsure if there was any other context since you did seem to land a lot of parries in the montage and did not know if there was something else you noticed that I did not.
Can someone do a slow breakdown on what he did right at the start when he did the deflect then the leg sweep feint because for some reason when i try and do it it doesn’t let me do a leg sweep after a deflect and it just does a guardbreak instead
It's not possible to sweep after a deflect. Instead after I did the dodge attack I went into Qi stance and then used a light to crushing counter the heavy, then I did the sweep feint.
It's not a very appealing answer but It really comes with time and practice. Learn the games mechanics and how all the moves work (by playing the game or learning from other people), train your reactions to the highest they can be at, and practice learning how to read opponents. Those 3 things are really the only thing you need to do
