Umm no. Contrary to popular belief, Spartan training wasn’t as hard or rigorous as everybody thought. The only reasons why Spartans were so feared was because of their battle tactics and experience. Probably the greatest example of this was during the Peloponesian war, where Sparta clapped Athens with battle strategy and more experienced soldiers. If the Spartans were in a war against the other factions, they would be destroyed. I wouldn’t be surprised if they obliterated the Vikings, but the Samurai’s weapon arsenal (which includes both ranged and melee weapons) and their highly advanced armor would easily outmatch the single spear and dagger of the Spartans, which by the way had almost no armor at all. The knight’s combination of steel armor, iron swords and training received from some of the most skilled and talented swordsmen of all time would be more than enough to beat the Spartans. The Vikings as I said, would be obliterated due to there lack of armor and little to no training. The only thing the Spartans have going for them is higher life expectancy, battle tactics that were ahead of their time, and a strong/rigorous training that is equivalent to an average man going to the gym five times a week. Plus, Roman’s would easily beat the Spartans as history as already proven. When the Romans marched on Sparta, the apparent “greatest warriors of all time” barely put up a fight for the Romana.
