When talking about testing grounds in the Y8 trailer, in the background they first showed PK and Medjay, both of which had changes in the last testing ground. Then Highlander, also testing ground, fighting Lawbringer. There's still hope
i stopped playing For Honor few years ago when Lawbringer (my one and only main) got „reworked” making him even worse than he was before. Today i randomly thought about how fun was this game, and wanted to check tier list if he’s playable again. This is the first comment i see 😂

Lawbringer has no chain lights. No stam drain. No neutral hyper armor. No dodge attack. His dodge bash has no i frames. He has no impale on heavy parry anymore (he cant have that cent has it, warmonger has it, afeera has but he, with no unreactable neutral pressure besides the dodge forward bash, cant have it). They did him dirty with the rework

Finally a tierlist made by a goat. Its very funny to see people who claim to be comp and give you the most dog opinions possible. Someone once told me pirate tier 4 was the best tier 4 in the game and said they're comp. Also told me 500ms are actually 400ms because they're timed based on indicator not overall speed
Tbf pirate t4 is memed as a T5 as how good it is, is around the realm of the best T4 imo. Also indeed indicagor speed is 400 ms total, first 100 ms are hidden, a true 400 ms attacks has a 300 ms indicator.
@@jorgemoya1341 pirate T4 is good it is outclassed by flask and fear itself. Never once have I heard anyone call it a T5. Most people do not call moves by how long their indicators are on screen. The devs do NOT call attacks by how long their indicators are it is how long the move is.
@@Professor_POVFH GPS does a set amount unlike flask and can be chained into (not that you would 90% of the time lol). if ur on the edge it does practically nothing and if u get revenge it also negates the afterburn. Fear itself is definitely the better overall feat from the fact u can’t counter it other than running or killing the user but GPS can also ledge multiple people some objs are aids for final fights with that. and anyone that has stalwart or phalanx or any protection feat that flask linger is also doing nothing meanwhile pirate does 40 guaranteed and ur knocked so u can’t use any feats to stop the follow up. fury flask which is obviously better as two feats compared to one beats GP easily tho

I'll be putting any changes to this tier list here: 1. Conqueror - Would move above above kyoshin since he has an unreactable chained bash and dodge bashes that I completely forgot about (chill I'm lvl 18 conq) 2. Varangian guard - Putting her right below warlord. Super strong defense with constant pressure in chain. Also has an unreactable 50/50 option after UB lands 3. Kyoshin - not a change, but something I forgot to mention since people ask why he’s so high. His dodge forward kick is incredibly safe (recovery to block and counter GB is insane)
The fact that I’m a orochi main and can’t beat my friend who is a berserker main is criminal. I get on duels and absolutely dominate until it’s a berserker because when it’s berserker my lil rat brain can’t react to that stupid interruptible jump.
Understandable tier list; the only thing I can argue about is Kensei. I don't know, man, if you can react to Afeera, I think you can react to everything in his kit (except the pommel strike, which can be interrupted by a light). His punish on guard break is insane, especially when the opponent is out of stamina, but his unblockable is pretty much reactable. It seems fair to place him in the B tier, ranking below Berserker and Raider but surpassing Nobushi. What do you think?
I find Kensei’s mix to be semi difficult to react to just because he can soft feint his UB to lights and heavies so sometimes that trips me up. He also has good hyper armor and rlly good damage numbers with 34 dmg on wallsplat. You could definitely make an argue for him being high B tier but a good Kensei is dangerous
It’s amazing how much the these tier lists change as you move up the skill tree. Im a newer player, and hitokiri, shaolin etc where never problems at low level gameplay - while nobushi was a pain. Now, around average skill level it’s the total opposite. Certain mechanics just don’t even exist at low ranks. I thought kyoshin was the best character when I first played lmao - “competitive” is a key word is these lists

How is it good? Its literal garbage lmfao. Nobu above those character is just blatant bs. Pirate being at B is also pretty inaccurate, zerker at B is also inaccurate, kensei that high is also copium, shaman not being better than jorm and cent is also wrong lol
A few spots I disagree with. Nobu should be an easy D tier, Medjay should go infront of Highlander, Kensei should go to mid-B, Warmonger should take Kensei's original spot, and Tiandi should be infront of Warden and Shaolin. Other than that I agree with everything on this list. Great job.
@The_Holy_Dragon she is not a shit character, she still has a good kit. Hidden stance, kick, undodgable heavies. She is a good b tier hero. The only characters that deserve d tier is peacekeeper and nuxia
I have no idea how Nobushi is not in D, besides her ludicrously high damage she really has nothing, as long as you're not on last gen the kick is her only offense and its like as slow as old Jorm neutral bash and Hidden Stance feels so inconsistent to cancel into for me
I threw her B cuz IMO she has some good tools on defense (hella s on dodge light, dodge recoveries, hidden stance) and also can deal a lot of damage. She also has some good range too. I will say that yes she’s very reactable but if your opponent is actually attacking and not staring she can be really solid
Probably a hot take, but I think Shaolin was perfectly fine without a rework, except for a couple minor things he was not that bad. I think the rework just made him more boring and too good
Only real changes I would do is knock Kensei down from bottom A to mid/high B and bring Medjay from low B to low A. I personally don't have much issue reacting to the vast majority of Kensei's offense on top of the fact he's so dam stam hungry to get into his "ok" at best mix ups. If they buffed his stam and sped some things up I could see Kensei being crazy strong. Medjay I think is all around solid character and really isn't lack in any real aspect for duels outside of maybe some defensive tools.
The problem with Medjay is that he doesn’t really have anything if you can react to UB, and his bash does only 9 damage and when it’s chained it’s reactable af
The tier list is not bad at all. I always thought Warden was S and that people complain just to complain about him. But Nobu in B instead of D is insane lmao. If your opponent has any reactions at all, you're done for. She has 0 offense/real mix. I respect the opinion tho; it's just an insane placement to me.
Yeah I get it man, the thing about my tier lists tho is I factor in things such as timing ability, dmg numbers, defensive capabilities. But yeah if your opponent just stares at you the whole fight ur not gonna win
Like a lot of characters in this game, unfortunately, he's just a noob stomper that becomes meh once you get decent. Tho he is prolly a low A / high B on the tier list, just cause of his recoveries and dodge attack being hard to punish
I know lawbringer is bad but i just don't see how LB is the worst duelist in the game, i think LB is defenitly better than nobu and glad. And i think he might be better than some other chars but those are argueable
At the beginning, just really pick who you think is fun. Most people you will encounter as a new player will struggle with different characters than really good people. Though picking a higher tier character will give you an edge later on if you learn em. Thats if they arent changed balance wise
Play everything. The better you know every character, the better you can make good reads (predicting attacks or reactions to attacks and countering them as or before they come out).

I started for honor late 2022. I recommended first playing which ever character you think is the coolest. After you get some time, start playing the characters you struggle fighting against the most. To this day the people I hate fighting are usually characters I’ve barely played.

Technically berserker’s entire kit is reactable too. But it’s just my opinion, I’ve done well into top duelists with nobushi you just have to play her really well
Instant unreactable variable bash with warden. Opens up a lot more options. For cent, you either have to use his kick, light or heavy to get into his unreactable variable bash in his punch. Two of those are reactable. So for cent his safest option is to do unreactable kick to get into his unreactable punch. I’m sure you can see where I’m going with this.. That’s why the bash changes helped cent a shit ton because technically every single one of cent openers were reactable with his kick before being at 500ms. Someone like Realyx could react to that nearly everytime if he was trying his nuts off.
He has pretty solid defense since he can counter variable timed bashes with his back stance and he has a dodge light you can delay super hard. But his insane offense makes him suuuper good. Constant pressure and he’s basically unpunishable
Bro warden is so bad in 1v1 all you have to do is turtle and light parry him and the second he dodges gb him idk how he’s a s tier I get he has stam pause and good stam recovery but bro😭
Turtling is probably the worst option against warden 😂 He has variable timed bashes that stam pause and Stam drain, and you can’t light parry him if he only does bashes. Overall beast of a hero

@@Realyxqjc2 his unblockable spends tons of stam, so if you check that is easy to read, blue/orange mix up is only available after light opener, heavy openers of any kind are a risk with no rewars, cc in higj levele 1v1 are a free light parry every time, side opener heavies againts him beat his dodge attacks, his fb counter and an attempt to light parry B is literally the max you can get him (14th worldwide BP for time played)

And I don't know your skill level, but I've been playing with the best duelists in the game for quite some time and have consulted with top players. BP is the only hero in the game that can punished bashes with a heavy. His flip is insane since it also has recovery. I respect your opinion, but some of the points you made apply to almost all other heroes. And saying a cc is a free light parry every time is just incorrect unless you spam it the entire fight
@@Realyxqjc2 to flip a bash means you must read it (from neutral, not fb stance) you get 24 damage for a flip that refills all opponents stamina, leaves you back to neutral with a cost of 30 stam, easily not that impressive. Also saying that his only peculiar aspect of countering bashes/unblockable while ignoring the rest of his clunky kit is up biased, he has a good defense but a quite mediocre offense, so B is what would fit more such aspects

No way dude, storm rush and foward dodge light are meant to punish enemies trying to dodge the kick, if you stand still you eat the kick. But saying that to one of the safest heroes is mad, probably facing bad oros
