So this video vs your other Smugglers Blues 2 videos... This is the authentic experience you have on the boat when you are not filming. Thank you for letting us all in to experience boating in such an authentic way. Your words at the end are so true, I haven't personally listened to Jimmy Buffett but I will start now. I watched this video at about 4am on a very hot September night. I woke up because I was too hot. I watched the majority of the video with my eyes closed listening to the music, with the water splashing in the background. I feel calm, relaxed and ready to go back to sleep. I love jimmy buffets music, one of my fondest memories is listening to his music while drinking a cold beer at Fort Myers beach on holiday. The hurricane took the bar away last year and jimmy goes this year, but it will always be 5 o’clock somewhere even for us landsharks, 🍻here’s to swimming with bow legged woman🍻

Nick although I don't really know you and vice a versa, I want to say that if you did sell your boat, it would be a sad day for us all. I cannot speak on behalf of other people, but I enjoy seeing you have fun especially with others close to you, and even if you just went out alone all the time, I believe you still add value to the boating world. I am a very happy owner of a galeon 500 thanks to your review of one a while ago. Being out at sea is one of the most enjoyable things to do. To just motor out a few miles, switch off the engines and take in the peace and quiet is the best medicine in these stressful times. Thank you Nick for your inspiration and dedication to boating, no matter how big the craft is.

Many boat owners sometimes have the idea that it is an expensive hobby and it is, if you compare the costs with the benefits. But that also applies to campers or caravans. If you have a wet summer season, like this year, it seems that you can't go out much. But when it is dry or sunny you enjoy it immensely. And a hobby can cost something, as long as you don't have to pay a living for it! We are currently having an Indian summer in the Netherlands, and I am thoroughly enjoying the boat and convertible!

Thanks for another great video. If you can manage to justify the ownership of a 'vehicle' which can bring you pleasure; peace of mind and an escape from the trivialities of everyday life then 'go for it'. Your journey back to Dartmouth had a nice swell on the water so you were able to enjoy the music of a legendary Buffet and the sensation of a water borne buffeting!

Just a perfect bookend pair of films. I was so glad that on the return trip you said little and let the magic of the sea and scenery talk in a language that is universal. The only background to me would have been Louis A’s ‘What a wonderful world.’ Never part with ‘Smugglers Blues’ she is you soulmate who will always listen without consequence!

We all have to find a happy place to escape the madness that we live in. You go around the world looking at some beautiful yachts/boats but Smugglers makes you happy and is enough. The Dart is a beautiful place to find some quality you time!

It's not been a great boating summer for sure. The wind kept action minimal down here in the CI for about 6 weeks. You'd massively regret selling your means of escape.

Yeah, the music I could do without. I almost entirely only listen to Christian worship music and classical music. But, the rest is nice. On the other hand, Jimmy Buffett may be one of the most frequently translated artists to Danish. Especially one artist, Bamse (Teddybear, the literal translation of his artistic name) specialized in Jimmy Buffett translations to Danish, apparently. God Bless!

I think we all have moments of doubt, particularly as (in my case at least) we are rapidly heading to the wrong end of life's journey. But I'm glad you were able to rediscover what boating really means to you and have decided to keep SB2. We all enjoy sharing the obvious pleasure you have in owning her. Carpe Diem and all that.

Another great episode Nick. Every now and again I go through "it's time to sell and get off the water", especially now with a 62% hike in my mooring fees in Bristol with nothing extra to show for it. Yet that one run,one chill afternoon just sat on the boat with the music and maybe even a book and you soon remember why we do it. Keep enjoying your escape as we all do.
