A few observations: 1) These guys are serious about their wives and about their love for them and for God; 2) they are genuine. No trying to be something they're not; 3) They share their struggles with others in hopes of being an example of God's love for us; and 4) I wonder if Joel could talk if his hands were tied down. :) Really blessed to be a fan of these guys and to enjoy their music.
I was completely and totally blown away by these guys! I've only heard Amen, but I recognize this magnificently original group can only go higher! Plus, I love Lacrae and I've never seen music bring out such passion in him! If I listen once, I listen 20x!
Joy is what I now call My "Mommy word". She passed away May 13, 2023 and her whole life's motto was "Never Let Anything Steal Your Joy." She touched everyone she came across with Love & Joy up until her last breath. Her memories are still spreading Love & Joy to so many. If these 2 gentlemen were representative of all men on this planet, I would never have any male friends. They are great for business relationships, but I wouldn't want to have either of them as my "best buds". I don't think they are representative of "real men" at all. The good thing is we can agree to disagree :)

Literally Courtney is me with my husband. I LOVE that her arm is around him right from the get-go. They are all so sweet and their marriages are such great blessings and examples.

Watching this for the first-time, the couples are so adorable, their love for God and one another is a good example to emulate. They've really blessed me.
I find it interesting that Luke says he did his best to find joy when the doctors would tell him bad news. When my son was diagnosed with severe autism, the doctors were shocked that we were overjoyed, and happy with the diagnosis. At that point, we already knew what was going on with him, but we were in a constant fight to get him the services we knew he needed, or could benefit from. We needed that diagnosis, to be able to get him the help we knew he needed. Despite explaining that to the confused doctors, I'm sure they still thought we were crazy! That diagnosis, got him a daily, in home therapy, that was around 5k a month, without insurance. Thankfully, insurance paid for it 100% once we got the diagnosis!

I love that! I strongly believe my brothers daughter has autism but everytime i try to speak with him about it he gets angry with me. I told him it was nothing to be ashamed of & taking her for a diagnosis could help her so much. She needs certain things that she isn’t getting right now.

I am loving this interview. I choose joy. I have been working through health issues myself and when I purchased the song, I was hosting an incredibly difficult guest AND I got a bunch of bad news back from the doctor. I put this song on blast on the way to everything and I would sing it into the streets. I CHOOSE JOY!!!!! Thanks for sharing this. Fun interview.
this was fun to watch. I just learned within the last few weeks who "the king and country" is. I heard the music on the radio often but did not pay much attention till my circumstances made me listen more closely. I love when they start talking about "choosing joy". I really resonate with that right now as my family and I are goimg thru something no family should have to go thru! Going thru something so dark as Luke mentions to choose Joy, to stay positive thru it. I sometimes wish I didnt have to be so strong. But being sad sometimes doesnt mean i cant still find or choose joy!

God is so infinite in His wisdom. I was having such a trying day and had just asked myself "why am I feeling so low, down, and depressed. This is NOT like me." And I needed to be reminded that I can -- and will -- choose joy. I'm thankful that God loves me so much, he sent me this sweet reminder -- through incredible human beings and brothers in Christ. 4 years ago I ended a long battle with a wound and I can’t listen to the song Joy without being reminded about how I chose Joy even in the darkest part of my life because I knew God had a plan for me even when I was going through what seemed like an endless losing battle. I so wish the song came out 4 years ago as I was going through the weeks leading to the surgery and rehab because if it wasn’t for the music I listened to over the radio, my time in the hospital would have been unbearable. I know God has big plans for me because I have opportunities I’m taking part in that just 2 years ago I’d never even dream I could be part of.
Luke taught me Joy because I was just sitting in sadness and fear and a lot of anxiety of daily life. And especially through my medical issues I chose Joy. #EndNF1 💙💚

The only way to choose joy is to choose to be in God's presence, to consciously commune with him in prayer, read, study and meditate on His Word, fellowship with fellow christians and serve in His kingdom. Seriously guys, there's no other way. Anything else is probably choosing happiness which is temporary and dependent on a given possession or circumstance.

Well what i will say is if she's a christian, then the Holy Spirit is still working on her in that area of her life as I believe He is working in all christians as we strive toward being more and more like Jesus Christ. I love these guys. I heard their song God Only Knows song by a young lady on the talent show. Joy is my favorite thing to tell people when their feeling low, Find your Joy, it’s your Joy no one can take it, only you can give it away, so don’t! Embrace your Joy at all times. Beautiful message guys.
Live these guys. This is one of the first songs I listened when I found these guys, I would play this song over and over dancing and praying God. I have had issues with broke arm and I declared that bonenwould start growing and it has starting to grow. The drs were amazed. I said " I am not, I knew God was going to heal this". I just have to say I wasnt originally a fan of theirs I thought their music was just ok. My husband took me to see them live and I have so much more respect for them as artist and how much they put into their shows and music that I didnt realize before seeing them live.it easily became my favorite concert I have been to ever and it was so amazing it was also my sons first concert and he was in awe the whole time they have so much energy and really engaged the whole audience!!!! Am now a fan
A tale of two marriages. JUST an observation based on body language alone. Two Completely different relationships. One is close, encouraging, warm and joyful. The other is distant, quiet, and happy. I do wish the best for both. But.. One of these things is not like the other. I know personality is key here also, but so is being smitten. Always growing together. I love their music. Good to see this.
You are not the only one having noticed that, let’s send positive vibes and heaps of blessings to both couples, marriage is a lot of work and living up to words and songs ( love you till the end of my day) so wishing those Christian couples the best yet to come.
One of the wives just announced she had an addiction to pain pills tho (hense Burn The Ships) so I suspect the problem was happening around this time. I believe it may be Courtney and as a person who has been addicted to pain pills, I can recognize the behavior of one on pain pills. The fake happiness...i see possible animosity in Joels facial expressions. But maybe I'm just reading too much into it. And it's not to be mean. We all have problems and I know how easy it would be to be suffering in life, have a physical issue, take a pill and it takes away the emotional pain going on too and get addicted to them. It's human. But to just quit and not do a 12 step program if one truly is an addict with a mind that has a propensity for fear and resentments one has a spiritual malady and to just quit, the problem will come back. I really hope she doesn't have that because it's a hideous disease, so I wish her luck in their lives.

Upset to hear that Joel has a wife as I've had a major crush on him, lol. After first stumbling across the song "Joy" while listening to Christian music, I have been obsessed with this group and their music. This song makes me feel happy no matter how down I feel. The beat always makes me get up and dance. Extremely talented singers, writers and musicians, I am certain, "for King and Country" are going places. You can feel the passion in their voices and feel their love for Jesus. I just pray that they never stop singing their christian songs and fall into the pop hole of gushy love songs to make money. My mom had the same outlook as Luke when she was diagnosed was cancer on her tongue last August. She had surgery in September to remove and reconstruct half her tongue. She went through 6wks of radiation. But the cancer came back this February, she had surgery on March 9th, came through the surgery with no problems, but on the 14th she stopped breathing, went into a coma, but never came out. She on the 18th, 5 days after her 64th bday. But we know that she was def ready to go Home.
I lost my mom, my best friend, to breast cancer in June of this year. She was also 64. I know my mother is resting with our Lord Jesus now. Just wanted to say you're not alone in your loss and I'm sending love, thoughts and prayers your way :)

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this Song. I have to move whenever it comes on; forget it, in my car it's over. They're absolutely right, we have to choose JOY because it is a choice. There's always good out of bad even when it seems like there's no Hope; everything in Life is a lesson for us, so we can either look at a Positive outlook or we can mope, be sulky, and Stress about it which by the way Stress kills our healthy cells & our overall physical and mental being. Remember, "Learn from Yesterday, Live for Today, Hope for Tomorrow. GOD Bless!!!
Such cute fun amazing people. Loved seeing the husbands and wives together and learning a little about them outside their music ministry. What was funny to me was that Joels nickname is Joely Polly and my son is also named Joel and his nickname was Joely rolly polly anyways loved the interview and their sincerity and genuiness, thanks Wally!
I saw them at an event called Faith Fest...they preformed for about an hour and a half. I literally become a massive fan when they did their intro 😂😂 I’m going to a concert on November 26 in SC. I’m so excited!! 😝💜👏
