In this video I show you how to make a super sensitive fishing float that will be more fun to catch fish
Most anglers will have used fishing floats from time to time. For many of you, we know, float fishing will probably be the first technique which you would use to catch fish. There is something so mesmerising about watching a float nudge and move and it can be so thought provoking to think what fish is might be on the other end.
The rush of the float then suddenly disappearing into the water is probably one of the most excitement moments in fishing.
What are Floats...
Floats, also called (bobbers) are a very old form of fishing. The float informs anglers where their bait is in the water and is a bite indicator for when fish are sniffing around your bait. This helps you to strike when you can see that a fish has taken your bait.
Floats help to keep your bait off of the bottom which may contains weeds or snags and keeps your bait suspended. This is particularly beneficial for catching certain species of fish including many silver fish.
Some anglers take a dim view of float fishing, however it is incredibly rewarding and, we think, one of the perfect ways to pass an afternoon with a friend or relative. It is also one of the techniques which is the most likely to get young anglers into fishing so for this reason alone it is surely worthy of praise.
