@@motive7475 True, but if he's got the coordination to swing the club like that, developing reliable putting and chipping strokes should be a piece of cake.
New here guys. Also new golfer this year! And wow thankyou, the cover drill! I can really feel the difference after a week! I only use 8 balls on the range soo I can give myself feed back on miss hits, a hour each night with the same club. Then move to the next club the following night, it is working well with the feelings. Much love from New Zealand boys 🤙 keep it up.. have subscribed
the real reason its hard.. im a new player hcp 25 is there is so much to keep in mind when practicing that i usually train parts of the swing and when i try to combine it. For example my swing is good now. I havent really figured out if my his should start to move at top of backswing or when i start the downswing. And when i try to combine these i loose compression instead in iron shots. I see Asian golf coaches often teach when in top of swing, it looks like squat slide turn move. So if you guys could build a video on how to combine these parts with good drills i would be very happy.
I’ve been working on my ball striking for what seems an eternity now as it’s always been my problem, made a few changes recently in my set up and have learnt how to release the club better and has helped massively. However the consistency still isn’t there, I know I can hit the ball well and have a pretty decent swing, I just want to minimise those fat and thin shots which I can’t shake off. It feels like I’m cursed lol
Great lesson and very relevant for myself even though I'm a 6 handicap it all still applies. My only quibble is Piers doesn't have to wear caprice pants to differentiate himself from Andy. While you guys do look similar we can eventually figure out who's who. I assume Piers lost a bet or something.
I think the idea is that even with a silky smooth swing, if you're not positioning your body correctly, you're missing out. I can butter a biscuit with my 7 iron, but at full power, I often thin it 5 feet off the ground lol
Once again (as always) a very useful to the point video. How about one showing how to turn wrist overs in swing with correct plane and aim etc. ,just can’t get it with any continuity.
I’d like it if you ran a series with one student, not at the expense of these kind of one off vids tho, if your student isn’t struggling with what I’m struggling with, why would I watch with my usual enthusiasm, I’ve got enough to be thinking of, without the stuff I don’t need, yet 👍
We are in the US in San Diego. We have just launched a golf clinic for end of July and we will be doing the same for September. We will drop a link in the description.
