Hi there! I’ve been playing flute for about 10-ish years give or take now! So use my advice as you will! The way I improved my tone and overall sound was through 2 methods: 1. Listen to a bunch of different flute performances and get a general idea of the sound you’d like to have! Research is always a great step to take when you’d like to improve! Listen intently and look at how professionals perform! 2. Long tones and scales! The way I improved was through consistency! Practicing my long tones (these are so important) and scales helped me to develop a really nice sound! Remember everything takes time, so try to be gentle and kind to yourself when you develop new skills! I hope this helped!
