For Russian occupiers, Mykolaiv is scarier than Chechnya

Putin’s army under command of general Yakov Ryazantsev, stationed in Mykolaiv region, is defeated and under siege.
This is evidenced by the ruscists’ conversations intercepted by the SSU.
The invaders recall that on the 4th day of the war the general promised them that the ‘special operation’ would be completed in a matter of hours. However, that did not happen.
The occupiers themselves went to Ukraine to march victoriously through the cities as if in a parade. Now they are surrounded. So, their ‘task to advance on Mykolaiv’ they consider unreal.
They complain that they do not have tents, stoves, live in trenches dug by themselves. 50% of the staff have frostbite, but the hospital is not going to treat them, because even the killed ones are not taken away: ‘…here even the killed ones could not be sent away, they rode with us for 5 days.’
With such a morale and frostbitten limbs, they won’t go far.
Unlike us, we are confidently moving towards Victory!
Glory to Ukraine!

It's surreal to watch an army fighting a war on two fronts, one against Ukraine and the other against itself. That's what's actually going on here and these Russian troops directly reflect the quality of their leadership. Putin is an amoral animal with no regard for anyone but himself. It would be nice to see him stand trial for war crimes but I wouldn't hold my breath. I believe he will only face real justice in the next life because too many of us are unwilling to make the sacrifices needed by the West for that too happen.

I have a feeling that he's going to get poisoned or shot by his own but there are only two scenarios where that happens and Putin is aware of both and probably right on top of it. One is that the oligarchs are finally knocked far enough outta their comfort zone that they press the generals to revolt. This could happen. The sanctions really are taking a massive toll on the oligarchs. The second is if Putins nuke threats against the US continue if the US or NATO become militarily involved and those threats begin to look a little too realistic to his Generals. See, thing is, we have nukes too and his Generals are not as far out in la la land as Putin. They do not want a nuclear war in real life. If an actual nuclear war becomes imminent, I think they will try to take him out. Problem is Putin might be kooky but he's not naive or stupid. He knows these things.

The U S has been training the Ukrainian Armed Forces now for the past 8 years. Please do not make it sound like the U S is not contributing. There is an additional $800 mil worth of hardware in route to Ukrainian troops as we speak right now. If you sent $200.00, that is truly awesome, and I must commend you for it.

ALL RUSSIAN SOLDIERS, LISTEN TO ME. I am an Australian. Each and everyday I watch on the internet your incursion into the Ukraine. I also watch your national broadcasts and consult with a good friend of mine that is Russian but lived in Kiev for many years. I am not totally ignorant as to what is going on over there at the moment. The Western media is very biased towards the Wests point of view, there is no getting around this fact. As is the Russian slant on things. The two opinions oppose each other of course. One can only expect this, it has always been this way. Regardless of this there has to be a truth somewhere in between the propaganda. The truth of the matter is that Putin is solely responsible for this incursion. Without him this action would have never occured. Agreed? Putin gave the order to invade. Putin mobilised his forces and sent them into the Ukraine. Now that you have your army on foreign soil you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. The action has stalled and is taking longer than what Putin and his advisors predicted, causing more casualities on both sides. Stories of mass graves and looting, pillaging, raping and murdering of civilians is common place. Russian soldiers are dying in droves, as are Ukranians. Human decency has taken second place to the baser human instincts where the animal in all of us takes over. Tell me something if you would please? One year ago could you envisage yourself raping a woman, stealing from a home or business, shooting and killing an innocent civilian. I dare to answer NO to this question. But this has changed now, for some reason hasnt it. You have become emotionally numb to what you see happening around you and what you in fact are doing as well. You are now in a position where you are damned if you do and damned if you dont. I certainly dont envy you this position. The only real solution for you is to either put the barrel in your mouth or do the right thing and surrender to Ukranian forces where you will be treated well. I pray that you make the right decision brothers and sisters and stop this horror by not taking part in it. Greetings from Australia.

In the scheme of things I am a nobody. I am simply an Aussie pensioner that has been trying to keep abreast of what is happenng in the Ukraine. Perhaps to a certain degree I am influenced by the Wests propaganda on what is transpiring over there. I really try to sort the lies from the facts and in this regard have my friend who is far better informed than what I am on these matters. He is a Russian that has lived a huge part of his life in the Ukraine (Kiev). He now lives in Sydney Austalia with his wife and three adorable children. I rely on him to act as a buffer between what I am being fed by the Western media and the Russian news sources. I have my opinions on what is happening and I believe them to be unbiased and accurate. I believe with all of my heart that the Russian troops have been lied to and told that they are fighting a war against an enemy that is fascist in nature and is a real and imminent threat to the Russian way of life. This couldnt be further from the truth. The Russian people have been lied to by Putin and his cronies. Ukrania poses no threat to the Russian people. The threat comes from within! Putin has stolen billions of rubles from the nations coffers as have his gang of thugs and gangsters. War is a terrible thing. It is not only the soldiers that are suffering because of Putins insane ambitions but the people of the Ukraine. Countless civilians have died, countless innocents have suffered unimaginable trauma and suffering at the hands of Russian troops. To date, over twenty thousand Russian troops have died because of one mans insane ambitions. This figure will continue to grow each and every day. Meanwhile the entire world looks on as these crimes against humanity continue to rise. Russian troops...listen to these words...please! Refuse to fight. Refuse to perpetuate these crimes, these slaughters of innocents. The answer to your dilemna is to step forward under the white flag of surrender and give yourselves over to the opposing forces. You will be treated well. Better than what your leaders are treating you. If you take your equipment with you there will be a reward in appreciationof your sincerity. Stop this evil now. Stop killing your brothers and sisters. Please, I beseech you. Stop this madness, stop this barbarity. Please.

Has is occurred to anyone else that the easy ability to record cellphone conversations makes the usual silence of war open for everyone? Remember "guarded secrets?" Now we're listening to their conversations all over the world. Didn't the Russian army THINK about that? I mean I'm glad they did not; but it seems like a glaring omission.

That last line is telling. "We were told to advance on Mykolaiv and so that's it. For now." Because at this point the soldiers know that they aren't being welcomed in as liberators. There are no parades. So they don't actually understand what their goal is. They're supposed to go advance on Mykolaiv, but what then? And what do you do if you do go take it right now? It doesn't sound like they have the kind of people to establish a provisional government there too. They don't have the surrounding area secured to stay safe even if they take it. They'll just be even more surrounded after moving deeper into enemy territory, and they know it. So the fact that they're scared and talking about getting shot on all sides, and how their commanding officers have no idea what they're doing, is going to make every single Russian soldier smart enough to realize this decide to just sit still and do nothing. "Advance" on Mykolaiv, by continuing to advance on Mykolaiv until someone tells them to stop sitting around and finally pull back. "We are standing." Is the last line. He's not saying flat out that they're ignoring orders or that they are not going to try and advance, but there is no urgency. They are sitting there and getting bombarded by Grads. They aren't being allowed to retreat. They don't have the supplies to stay put. But they don't have the motivation to move forward. It's scarier to try and push into the people firing at them than stay closer to hopefully incoming supply lines and a potential retreat behind you. Such a crap show.

He was sleeping outside in some of the worst conditions in the modern meteorological record of the region, with temperatures on some nights as low as -30 C. Not once did he get frostbite. He could get all the gear he needed from charity. Keep in mind that urban homeless people, unlike Russian soldiers, are not allowed to use fire. How did anybody get frostbite? It's not even the worst of the winter, Mykolayiv is warmer than upstate New York, and these people are Russians. It's not like they don't have experience of the cold!
