This is the album i had just bought and had on me when i met my future wife Christine....together for forty years she passed away in Oct. before she left I told her when she sees me in heaven I'll be the guy carrying the Rory Gallagher album....
There is an explanation for the affection of Rory to Greece. His music can talk directly to the heart, and his lyrics in our mind, more clear than anyone else. This feeling is the magic of Rory Gallagher.. The fact that he was the best, doesnt worth so much as his magic feeling.. That special thing that makes you feel him in the deepest of your heart and mind. And i know that this is not only for Greek people. I am just speaking about myself.
@Panos drosoulitis - yes, I just said something very close to that - yes love his whole being - hardly ever mentioned is his voice, whew it melts into me and the notes he sings just at the end of a word. @@marysalvi242 Feelings have no origin, colour, flag .. Each time we feel depressed or flying over the clouds from happiness, we are all the same. The fact is that Rory captured these original, naked and pure moments with lyrics and melodies, and this "language" is spoken from any human being with emotions. At the moment, Rory is my best friend. I needed someone to tell me, what the song us saying: cmon man.. No matter if you hit the ground, there is still time until the count of nine to stand on your feet again.. And make sure that it was for the last time...
@@@panosdrosoulitis2190 💖oh yeah, we are mind/body/spirit and we're so tactile that all are senses are what we interact with here on earth, loving someone because of how they laugh, think, feel and when that leaves we mourn and find it hard to adjust of not having that way of loving - even if Rory was here, I'd focus on the "maybe one day I'll get to SEE (one of our senses)him in concert and yes I'd love that and then it would be a memory (of course I'd think I'd meet him : ) to hear and be in his presence and it wouldn't be until after he passed on that I'd realized it was his spirit, that energy, our own unique energy that makes us all special and some do not stay connected to that spirit/energy and get caught up in the material world and let that be the force they drives them and not be in the moment and appreciated the power of that universal energy - the energy that you and I at this time are sharing and feeling. It's not perfection though it's real and it comes from our hearts which is love and as you say which always stays with us. That is Rory's power and we have too. Nice to "know" you and it keeps me hopeful that the majority of people live from love, especially in these times. Rory Gallagher, what a kind, honorable, very humble and very special man he was. What a brilliant singer, songwriter and greatest guitarist he was. Listening to the lyrics of his song brings a picture to the listener's mind. How luck many us were to have had the very great privilege to have seen Rory and his Band doing gigs over the years, Rory Gallagher, music is as fresh today as it was when it was first released, his music will last for hundreds of your years to come. His very great talent’s are just banning to get know by people from all over the whole wide world, his name will grow and grow way into the future. Go stamp your feet for the Man
I feel a little embarrassed. I fell in love with this song, and went to link a friend a RU-vid link of it with lyrics, and come to find of course I like it, I'm Greek. Stereotyping myself. Hah!
When I think of Rory, it's always this song I think of now as one of his tightest studio recordings. Thanks, Rory for your contribution! As time goes by his music does hold more timeless space, I mean this was early 70's listen to that man play guitar! Jimi Hendrix was asked who he thought was the best guitarist? reply: "why don't you go ask Rory Gallagher!"
