I love your thoughts on community and "you share some of your magic, and I'll share some of my magic". That's going to become something I add to my vernacular so thank you. Have a wonderful life in general 💚.
I need to catch up on your videos. I’m 61 and live with my daughter and her fiancé. The baby got really sick and my daughter was frustrated because medically there wasn’t much she could do. SO my girl came to me and her future mother-in-law for herbal wisdom. 🎉 I’ve really relied on your foraging help and what I know as part Cherokee. Do you recommend any books? I think I mentioned the Fox Fire books, looking for a set with a decent price. I’m networked with some holistic healers, but our area is weird about stuff like that. Do you have a list of items someone should start out with? Thanks for the videos and all your knowledge!
The best books I can recommend are the country-based field guides you can find in the biology section of any bookstore. Sometimes you can find them by region as well, I've got one specifically for the southeastern US. Aside from that the app LeafSnap for any smartphone is very helpful, you can take a picture and it does very well identifying plants and sending you to the Wikipedia page of that particular one.
