Essajees Atelier - the design studio was established in 2014 by Sarah Sham. Till date, it has completed about 60 projects in residential and commercial spaces. Sham is a trained art historian having studied art history at Duke University US and Oxford University UK. While working at her 130-year-old family business dealing in art, antiques, and furniture, she was intrigued to train as an Interior Designer, which she did at Rachna Sansad Institute of Architecture, Mumbai. Sham believes that integrating technology and innovation in design is important, but not those which are transient or change very quickly. What sets the design studio apart is that its entire ethos and philosophy are based on sharing ideas, knowledge and information with other designers across various cities.
