Purpose is more Important in selecting these type of SUV's, Thar may look better and up to the Date but, when the real life purpose of a 4X4 comes, it's definitely GURKHA gets all the ticks for a true Off Roader in Budget

When I saw Gurkha for the first time in traffic, it was looking so bigger and bold in front of Fortuner. It was the same feeling that I am seeing the G-wagon. I know about Gurkha was a really powerful car but I used thought it was ugly. When seeing it in real life, it's totally attention grabber than Thar!

Personally I would pick Gurkha over Thar. When it comes to offroad and trails Gurkha is superior.

I am a safari lover, but if I want to choose one from this two SUV then i will go for Gurkha. Why because, as a SUV it has manual diff lock, proper use of diff lock will help me to get out of all types obstacles. Next preferred thing in SUV is boot space that also Gurkha took the first spot, Then the real SUV things like snorkel, higher commanding riding position, etc.. but anyway right now I have a safari which is having a massive road presence, and with the superb offroading capabilities.. it's been many years and travelled all over India by completing nearby 3 lakh Kilometres and still goes on...

Thar needs DEF which is not there in Gurkha.

@@praveenbora9031 Thar have electronically controlled brake locking differential that is for to provide enough traction on slippery surfaces and sometimes it fails too, and there Gurkha has two manual differential lock for front and back and it is the only one vehicle India has this feature. When we trapped such situations we are able to use it manually so the vehicle will overcome that obstacles.

Gurkha is more capable and practical than thar & additional benifit of led headlamps, a pillar grab handel,rear door wiper, roof carrier, windscreen guard,company fitted snorkel and rear seating position and bonus ..is manual 2 locking differentials .

The rear seating arrangement of thar looks desparate attempt to make it 4 seater. That is a deal breaker for me. Gurkha has done excellent job in seating arrangement. If overall performance looks satisfactory I will prefer Gurkha.

I just was a video of tug of war between ghorka and thar, on papers gorkha is underpowered but abley to pull thar without a problem, Second you missed a very important point that gorka comes with Locking differential with is very useful in off-roading.

Just had a test drive in force gurkha at Pune. Highway & offroad...mindblowing ! Have been driving Innova petrol since 2006. Gurkha is good for highway & offroad !

Gorkha Car Service Center is very less as comprison to mahindra Thar. It is good if you get service of Gurkha like this. Gurkha perfomance is gud bt gud service not provided by the company. M from shimla I have also Gurkha explorer. There is a no service no parts available in shimla. one service provided just only Mandi. So Sometimes we have to go to the Mandi force showroom with small problems.service wise very poor. Even mahindra showroom every Tehsil in district. It is good if you get service of Gurkha like this.

I like gurkha because this vechical is off_roaader so no need high speed, must have need differential lock which is already available and language capacity good in gurkha

Let me make it easy for you If you are more into off roading, g wagonish design , more convient way of going to back seat then go for gurkha But if you want better interior , more wanglerish look go for thar Thar seems better for cities while gurkha is better for pure offroading But thar is no way bad at off-roading too

Good review, however you should have covered MLD and manual diff locks. That's the biggest difference in both the cars.

Start of the video sealed the deal for me Thar introduced welll Oh No there comes the Hulk! Gurkha, hooked on to Gurkha . Pls do not reply saying Thar is better. Well i have experienced alll sorts of Best of SuV and cars/ motorcycle. I loved Gurkha Probably due to it's Simpleness and stants. My car currently is FIAT Palio Adventure 1.6 petrol good enough to top at 175kmph My driving speed on any indian Highway is between 90-120kmph.so Gurkha can cruise around 110-120whole day. Good Enough. Lest all is spec sheet. Definitely would like to have bit more power for better acceleration but no deal breaker. iam not sure how family will feel comfortable sitting inside Thar for longer duration and manage that speed, It will be claustrophobic experience for sure. Take test drive along with friends or family and take decision.

Good comparison... Thar is overhyped in some sense... Not offended but Gurkha is far better in this category... As they are not racing cars. Interior design of dashboard and steering could be better in Gurkha.

When i saw first time force gurkha I dont know about this car when i show this car in front of me. I saw its indicator then i think its g wagon Then i saw force moter logo than i think some 4x4 car modify like this then i saw this car in you tube. I was really shockd compny gave that featured which can we only modifyfrom aftermarker like back laddrrs snorcle😅😅 i m fan of this car but its lag of some feture like advance mid stearing mounted control 8 mm info. Display overall car is awesome

Both cars lack basic features. Thar should be just two seaters, rear seats are just show off. Gurkha, I would says neither lifestyle neither commercial. Though it has good bootspace, but people like me who carry lot of luggage , how will one enter after filling boot of Gurkha ?

Sir ye bataiye ki gorkha maine 2019 me chalai thi to usme steering me problem thi jaise ki maine 110 ki speed me chalai thi to uski steering kapne lagi thi.to ab vo problem hai ki nahi, Vaise to jab apne chalai to mujhe vo problem feel nahi hua I think Gorkha is a best
