Force Sensing Dim Insertion Automation Cell 

This automation cell inserts dims into multiple different boards depending board specification. This unit uses a force sensor on the robot end of arm tool to make sure to insert the dims completely into place and at the correct pressure as to not damage the PCB's or the mother board. Once the dim trays are emptied, the trays are rejected out of the back of the cell and a new full tray is automatically conveyed into place. Each dim has a barcode located on it to tell the robot which dim's should be inserted in which place and in which motherboard.
