I have the G20 and it's a great machine Steve. The only misleading thing about this segment is the leg press footplate being used as a seated row footplate as well. When you pull the cable for a seated row and push your feet into the footplate for stability, the footplate slides forward from the bottom and ends up in an almost vertical position. There's nothing to hold the footplate into a stable unmovable position. Great machine otherwise. Thanks for the videos mate.
Hey Steph, Unfortunately, the VersaPad is not included with this new version of the G20. It does still include a bunch of attachments though. The VersaPad was a good solution for hip thrusts in my use. If you do decide to purchase the G20 or anything else, please use my link: www.forceusa.com/stevie
Yes I do. The G20 included knee holders and it’s very capable with a bench. If you do decide to purchase the G20 or anything else, please use my link: www.forceusa.com/stevie
@@StevieRichardsFitness Perfect, thanks a million! So the cable can be attached high enough so as to do it properly even if you're a tall guy, right?;) So there's no difference between performing lat pull-down exercises on the rack and on the optional station? If yes, I'm getting one of those 🦵🏻💪🏼
The lat pulldown attachment is the same height as the G20 and both are limited by height IMO. I’m a little over 6’2” and it worked for me. The height of the G20 exterior is 91”. In comparison, my G3 is 87” which makes it tough to get full range on pulldowns. Hope this helps and please remember to use my link to save. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@StevieRichardsFitness Perfect, so the issue which has been nagging me is solved. One last question if I may ask. Is it possible to mount leverage arms to G20?
Hey there, thanks for sharing your review. I'm thinking about getting this machine as my first home gym system. I'm just wondering with this price range in mind, what competitors would the G20 have that are also great? I'm pretty set on the G20 because it looks amazing but I'm unsure if there are other brands with similar pieces of equipment.
Thanks for the watching the video. The only products that I’ve used that even comes close to the G20 are the Cybex Bravo trainers and some Hoist models. Neither one offers the amount of functionality of the G20. No power rack, no smith machine, no multiple pull-ups bars and nowhere near the attachments included. I’ve done further research to see what else would match up to the G20 and can’t really, especially for the price. Force USA said they created the G20 to literally put everything they could into one product. If you do decide to purchase, please use my link- www.forceusa.com/stevie
@@StevieRichardsFitness Thanks for replying. I'm definately going to work towards this machine. I live in Australia so I don't think I'd be able to use your code but I really would love to find a way where you receive credit for the sale because you were the only one I could find giving decent video reviews on the product. Is there any way you know of that could possibly work? Thanks again mate!
@@ashnaybro bit the bullet today and brought the g20 with the lat pull down attachment from gym and fitness. Now for the wait. Too keen for it to turn up
Thank you for the review! Could you please tell me how the bottom pulley is set up for the attachment? Following instructions and cable doesn’t connect to weights and doesn’t move 😢
Are you talking about the leg press/low row footplate attachment? The pulley should go in the middle where the opening is located. If there’s some other issue and the pulley isn’t working correctly, you should email support@forceusa.com and they can talk you through a solution.
It's an amazing product, the only drawback is that the weights are extremely heavy and begins with 9KG... but overtime u'll get used to it if you are an elite athlete.
Hi Stevie, thanks for the great reviewd. As I understand it the optional extra lat/pull station is not needed at all for single person use but you will miss the dip option and the barbell holder which is not good. Is that correct?
@@StevieRichardsFitness Thanks a lot for the super fast response. Then my analysis was correct and I can sleep in peace with my G12 purchase ;-). There is a number of design things I don't like but I wish i could buy some of the attachments stand alone though. Do you know if that will be possible?
I’m sure it is possible, but would probably have to designed specifically for the G20 alone. The G12 is a great all in one trainer. You still made a smart decision.
@@StevieRichardsFitness Thank you very much. I just reached out to the UK distributor where I bought my G12 asking if I could buy individual attachments. I will share the answer here in case others are interested.
I think it boils down to, mainly, budget. There are lots of affordable power racks out there. Two of my favorites are the Classic MyRack and Folding MyRack. The Classic MyRack is modular and you can add tons of attachments, including plate loaded cable pulleys. The Folding MyRack is a great space saver and some Classic attachments are compatible. However, you’ll need a third party plate loaded cable pulley to do that type of training. The G20 is perfect if you want a commercial grade product and have multiple people working out at the same time. It has tons of commercial grade attachments, and 1:1 ratio weight stacks for cable exercises. Take a look at the G6 or G12 if you need weight stacks on a more affordable all in one trainer. @@StevieRichardsFitness yeah I'm kind of stuck with going with traditional power rack and getting a cable machine or opting for all in 1, dip bars or jammer arms for g20? Appreciate your feedback
I don’t believe there are jammer arms scheduled for release on the G20 and 3rd party ones would most likely void the structural warranty. Your good with dip handles for the MyRacks or the G20. A set is included with the G20, but you’ll have to buy the attachment for the MyRacks. There’s two schools of thought- slowly add from a base rack and have multiple dedicated items in your gym or “buy once, cry once” and get the all in one.
You can try to do that, but it’s not recommended and will probably void the warranty. I’d really like to see Force USA add jammer arms to entire lineup.
Stevie hi , To put it in garaje .., I would love to know how much space it takes in action way . I mean while you working out... around Machine how much space I need... and if the back of machine I can put it closer to wall .. to understand how I can put it in garaje ... looking to buy it
Hey Maria, In my opinion, having 3 feet or so on the sides makes it easier to load/unload plates for exercises. On the back I currently have about 2 feet of space away from the wall. This way I can load/unload plates from the built in storage. If you do decide to purchase, please use this link: www.forceusa.com/stevie Thanks and keep me updated on how you like the G20.
Hey Cathy, Great question. I just uploaded this detailed comparison video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gdsaosNEkvY.html If you do decide to purchase anything, please use my link: www.forceusa.com/stevie
It doesn’t have the ability to do leg extensions and curls. Inspire Fitness has an all in one trainer that has that. You’ll need to buy their brand bench, which includes a way to mount their cabling onto it.
@@StevieRichardsFitness Thanks for your in depth reviews Steve. I really fell in love with the G20 and decided to go ahead and get one anyway. It would be great if Force USA could create some kind of attachment for leg extensions and curls to really complete it though. I will get a seperate leg and curl machine to complete my home gym here in Australia. Keep up the great work. Cheers mate! 👍
Price would be the biggest difference between the two. The G20 is best for those who have multiple people training at once since it has multiple stations so that can happen. It’s also a 1:1 cable pulley ratio. The F100 has more interior working space and the cable pulley is 2:1 ratio. Also, the F100 includes a F series barbell for the power rack portion of it. Both have included cable attachments and, IMO, enough to do lots of work. If you do decide to purchase, please use my link- www.forceusa.com/stevie
That’s an interesting question that I can pass along to their support. I’m a little over 6’2” and had plenty of space height-wise and on the interior working space.
I also bought the G12 not long ago. I am happy the G20 is simply too large for my home gym 😂. I love my G12. Only thing I would really like to have is the closer hole spacing and the attachments from the G20. I found out I could use the "handle" for the anchor point of the functional trainer as anchor point for banded Smith machine leg exercises. Works amazingly.
