The fire fighters I've seen gaining entry to a home to rescue victims, use gas-powered saws and they simply cut a large hole in the door, or in a wall to gain entry. They do this in about 30 seconds.
Most decent departments arent going to use saws for anything other than the roof snd metal roll up doors or burglar bars. Any quality department can get into most residential buildings simply with a Halligan
He said the door wasn't the usual faced in a commercial building that this technique is typically used for. So this is probably just for training purposes
