These videos are amazing, I rewired a 57 Ford 600 just based off of their video for ignition. I just finished the rear left arms as well. Amazing enough, it was just a frozen safety valve. I highly suggest getting with dan for tech support, it saved me countless hours and probably some good money too.
I really needed this a few years ago. When you would try to slightly raise the 3pt on my 75 3400, it would keep going up and either bind at max height or pop at max height and come back down. It was a ride when you had a heavy implement on the back! It was the 'up and down spool' sticking just like you said! I called the local shops and they had not a clue what I was talking about... Funny (not) that you knew that issue existed and none of the local shops did. That oring you pointed to at 17:13 isnt on fords drawings that I could find but I stuck an oring there anyway, glad I did! Your videos are great. Its hard to find good videos for these old tractors.
Hi. I'm French and have watched a number of your videos. I'm repairing the family's 1959 Fordson Dexta. Thanks to you, I dared to put my hands in the lift, which suffers from various small problems. But with your channel, it already seems much easier. Thank you very much for all your advice and explanations, which are a bible, much more than the workshop manual. It is unfortunate that you do not ship outside of North America. Because some parts cannot be found in Europe, even in the United Kingdom. If it helps people, the Massey Ferguson 35 and 42's upper lift arms fit on the Fordson Dexta and Super-Dexta.
As always another great informative video. I still use my videos I bought from your dad on rebuild /repairs on international harvesters. Great job thanks 🚜
Thank you very much for this video, which helped me enormously to repair my Dexta. It is unfortunate that you do not ship outside of North America. Because some parts cannot be found in Europe. I also like, when I can make companies work, led by people involved. Greetings from France.
Awesome video. Mine was drifting down under load. Ended up being a stuck unloader valve and I think the relief valve was bad. I rebuilt the pump while I had mine apart. Mine had be done improperly before I bought the tractor and every linkage was musadjusted, so it took some work to get it back working. I used your jubilee top cover video to guide me and it helped immensely. Thank you for the help.
Hello, Your video inspired me to fix the hydraulics on my Ford 3000. A few hours later it is and working great again I changed cylinder oring and the pivot pin. Thank you!
@@franciscofaria7446 Hello. You need a combi oil for both hydraulics and wet breaks. I guess I used about 10-15 litres. Fill oil and fill until oil comes out from the level-plug on the right side. Best regards from Johan
I’ve recently found this channel and binge watched a lot of your videos , and have been nothing but impressed. I’m not sure if Rachel has any formal media presentation training ,but she presents these videos as well, if not better than people with 20 years experience and the videography and editing is extremely professional as well . In the past I’ve had to do a couple video presentations, and I was awful and it’s a lot harder than it seems , so I applaud all that are involved in putting these videos together.
Thank y’all so much, I’m learning as I go. We 2 old 4000 tractors, one to completely rebuild, and the other has left problems. Wish y’all could go over or help get steering wheels for the 8600 and 8700 series tractors.
Just a quick question the fasteners that hold the seat on to the cover are they studs or bolts and is the "funny" one do thank you for freely sharing your knowlege and expertise
I haven't run across a jubilee top lid overhaul video. The top lid gasket kit comes with a pack of Orings. I'm guessing it'll be alot like this top lid where those Orings go. If I've overlooked a video of yours on the jubilee top lid overhaul, please reply with a link to it. Symptoms are lift won't go up at all. Dad removed a plug on the pump and oil shot all over. The lift used to go up and slowly come down. It does nothing now.
Hi I have a 4000 I am rebuilding the cove. The only thing I needed to know was the adjustments on the Valves aside the lift piston. I can't seem to get the adjustments quite right. Any advice would be appreciated thanks Brian
I hate have a 78 335 industrial and am finding out its basically the same as a 3000 and could you please tell me were the filter and screens are for the 3 point hitch which I know are somewhere internal and I'll be replacing the seals and gasket on the top soon ?. Thank you and you guys have been by far the most informative online 👍
I need the O-ring that goes on the valve behind the plug that's removed by tapping out with a fine thread bolt. It's under the up and down valve. Is it sold ?
I have problems with my lift on the International B275 do you have a video on that or any other international lift cover to show checks and set up info?
im having trouble with ford 5610 tractor, the front end loader isnt as strong as it use to be filter has been changed and has plenty of oil. bucket doesnt hardly tilt anymore and i use to could push bucket on ground and lift front tires off ground. What can i check? i dont know where hydrailic pump is or anything else i can check? any ideas? do you have a diagram of where everything is or a video on this?
Is there a way to test the safety valve and relief valve? I've done a top end rebuild following your video (very good BTW) and have a problem with implement lowering within a minute or two of setting the correct working height. Seals replaced along with piston leather etc, but still not maintaining height. 3 pt lift responds instantly and raises quickly and easily, just not staying up. I'm not sure what the function is of the safety and relief valves. Thank you.
Nice video, thank you so much. I have a troublesome 5030 it's not lifting the three point system. It uses both internal piston and two more lift rams. What could be the cause? *NB: it's a 97 model
I have a Fordson super dexta and it’s blowing fluid out of the round cap behind the fender well. Could that be the relief valve as well. All gaskets have been changed and looked over numerous times just kind of puzzled as to what could build so much pressure.
Hi! I ordered your remounting kit for the hydraulic pump and it arrived perfectly. Thank you. I do have a question though. I am chasing a chatter/shudder problem when my three point lift "lifts" upwards. It drops down nice and smooth. At one point in this video when you are showing the two valves on the table, I think you say that the larger relief valve may possibly cause this kind of shuddering/chatter. But then later from underneath when that valve is being removed it's mentioned if it's failing the whole lift mech may not work. If it's possible that it can cause the chattering, I will order that next. Is that possible it can be doing that? Thanks!!
Hi Rachell, Can you please tell me the width of a Ford 3930 or anything close, I am due to go pickup my tractor ( I just bought ) but I am not certain my tractor will fit on my 16' utility trailer. I know my trailer is 6' and a couple of inches. So, if it won't fit my trailer then I will go rent a trailer. AND WHY DON'T THE SITES PUBLISH THE WIDTH ? Anyway, could you put a tape to your 3000 and post it here for me...thanks. Terry
Hi Rachel, i have a big trouble finding injection line for my 2000 ford tractor. How do i go from hard line to flex line, since the hard lines has nuts and the flex are male threads.
I have a Ford 3550 with a front of crankshaft driver hydraulic pump to supply pressure to the front end loader. There is a selector valve on top of the transmission which has a hose running to the rear via a coupling to run other implements ect. When no implement is needed the return hose drains back into the fill plug on the diff. As I no longer use this feature I want to disconnect the fitting on the selector or blank it off. Does anyone know if blocking off the port on the selector valve will do any damage.
I’ve got a Massey Ferguson 135 with a 3 cyl Perkins diesel. I think the head gasket is gone. I’ve got coolant in my engine oil. I’ve looked through your videos I don’t see any Massey head gasket videos. Any suggestions or advice? Do you sell the parts I would need to do the replacement gasket? Thanks.
Hello, Mr.Dan and Miss. Rachel I want one diesel CAV rotary pump and all three injector, with timing plate and pump timing gear for ford 3600 tractor that will be made in England. That should fit in my tractor and gives good performance. I want these parts in India. Please tell the price of these parts and how you send it by courier and then how we can get them. I want these parts especially brand new. Thank you and please reply quickly.
what i love about these videos, is that she makes it look simple and she keeps it simple , thank you, some of us guys dont know about tractors , and here is where i go to find out about how to do just that
Thank you both so much for all the time and effort you put in to help us keep these machines working. Your instructions are invaluable and I wish you every success!
As always, a great video. Dan and Rachel make a great father/daughter team. I'm sure he is proud of her, as would be any father. Anyone that has ever been caught with left over parts after trying to follow typical directions can appreciate the care they take not to skip over the details that are likely to go wrong.
Thanks Dan for the call today and answering all my questions on my 3000, and my ferguson 35 you and Rachel make this a lot easier and I will be ordering my parts from you. Stevens in Tennessee
I’m curious as to why you didn’t replace the hydraulic filter when doing this repair. My understanding is the filter is located in the bottom of the housing and requires removal of the PTO shaft to change. Maybe I’m mistaking but if it is indeed there it would have been nice to show that during this repair. Overall thank you so much for bringing us along!
@@gentlyweepforgeorge6048 when I completed this repair myself my 67 2000 is the same. There are actually two filters in the housing. One filter is changeable but the other is meant to be wiped clean and sits further back inside the housing toward the rear end. They have a separate video where they rebuilt the hydraulic pump. Likely the pump was the issue on this tractor, not the top lid repair.
You and your dad do a great job on all these videos. I bought two DVDs years ago on john deere how to.YOUR DAD WAS A YOUNG MAN.HE HAD A BUDDY HELPING HIM IN THE VIDEO. I ALWAYS THOUGHT YOUR DAD LOOKED LIKE HOWIE MANDEL. THAT WAS A LONG TIME AGO. THANKS FOR THE TWO OF YOU AND WHAT YOU DO.
Great job very helpful I have a Ford 3000 I bought last year replaced the pump rebuild the cylinders for front end loader but now the bucket moves really slow up and down any suggestions would be helpful thank you
Huge thanks for not only this video, but for having the website and parts. I check the pricing, and the pricing is affordable and reasonable. Huge thanks for providing affordable parts to keep these old tractors moving in the fields
Awesome finally a good 3000 hydraulic video. Thanx again great job. Need another one for the draft and position control adjustments they are way confusing but got them after alot of trial by error.
I removed the air bleed plug from the side of my pump and inserted a valve with a barbed end for clear hose. Ran hose back to rear end reservoir. Oil flows steadily to rear but has half marble size air bubbles steadily flowing. 90% of the time my arms won’t raise. They been acting up a few years. Sucking air somewhere? Once they go up they will stay but if you let them down, they won’t raise back up on demand. 😢
wow wow what a complete, informational, interesting, clear, and well thought out video!! Ive been in there twice but years ago,,,,and im learning lotsa things i still didnt know then and until now!! Thanks again for your hard work!! Always you do such a great job of explaining and warning us about things we may have overlooked!! Wishing you great things in this new year,,,,and on down the road also!! Bill in north alabama
Hello, I'm a 64-year-old farmer who recently purchased a small farm in Goodrich, Mi, off Dutch Road. My wife and I stopped at the Steiner Tractor store for a look around and to purchase a front tractor emblem for my old 8n! I took 1 photo of my wife sitting in a chair and the counter clerk scolded me saying, no taking of pictures in the store. The counter clerk demeaned me in front of another customer, and my wife! I don't plan to return to Steiners or make further purchases from them! Steiner Tractor should post signs that read: (PLEASE, NO CAMERAS ALLOWED!) to prevent degrading community customers. Hi you have great knowledge and I have a question. I'm doing research for my nephew who has a 1972 ford 1000. His hydraulic control valve is not working and he wants to rebuild it but can't find parts, gaskets, O ring. Do you any sources or another valve that would work. Thanks for your time.
