Thank you. I would agree in some aspects we probably spent more time on things than in the factory. Just happy I could finish a nice project with good results. I’m sure that tractor will run strong for another 40+ years
That's a nice looking tractor. I have one but it's in far worse shape than yours. I use it quite often to brush hog and pull stumps. My power steering leaks, it smokes a little and the gauges don't work but it's a real work horse.
Familie???
Thank you. It is a lot of work once you find those leaks and than to get it all back together with no new leaks. Takes time at the end of the day the time was worth it. Enjoy yours!
where did you get the instrument cluster unless it's the original? good job looks great and I like that you painted the lug nuts for the rear wheels it looks good.
Judging by all the comments people love the paint job. But for me seeing something like that where someone painted over everything and I mean everything, even rubber parts and hoses? It says that it is a paint job to hid what is underneath and make it pretty for sale. I would stay clear, but these ford 3000s are real work horses and if they are in good running condition you can't go wrong.
This was from a few years ago. I sold the tractor to buy a couple more for my collection. Where are you from. Are you seriously looking for one? My brother has a restored Ford 3600 he just finished a few weeks ago Let me know if that is something your looking for
Am I thinking straight. Did you engage the PTO without the clutch depressed? Is this an “independent”!PTO as opposed to a two disc clutch “Live PTO”?? Do these models use a hydraulic oil cooler like their sibling the 3600?
This was a project I had wanted to do I have done several at a younger age. Thought I’d do another. It was a lot of fun and hard work. Attention. As you may notice it is not fully complete. However a nice day for a vid.
