Love these old ford. My brother has a southern comfort crew cab dually show truck thst needs love. The idi blew up and bought a power stroke to do thr swap but decided not to. Wish we were close I’m sure he’d give ti you ti see it come back to life. We live in Louisiana 🤷🏼♂️
Great video man ! Can’t wait to see more ! I’m a 90’s gm guy, but I absolutely adore you and peg getting these old fords running, back then they were all arguably equally good or equally shit now everything is hot garbage. Keep keeping these old rigs on the road
Nice truck man, & that’s smart with changing injectors I’m doing it that way next time, I thought of it but my buddy said I was being a tard, I’m show him this, pack that hole ya cut in the axel with any form of sticky grease if ya care about it helps keep the rust rot down
I had some sort of light duty f250 parts truck similar to your's. It had the same rear end but had a 5.0 and an m5od(NOT THE ZF5). There was something strange with the front axle as well i think it had a leaf sprung dana 44 ttb with 8 lugs. The thing was built more like a heavy half and less like a 3/4 ton.
Bondo-glass works best for that razor back repair.. its a mix of filler with fiberglass resin so u get the best of both worlds to fill in and shape that razorback plus its stronger with a lil more flex to it
The truck with the odd rear axle that’s probably a light duty F250. The rear end should be a Dana 60 in that truck as opposed to the sterling 10 1/4 or 10 1/2. They’re not bad just not floating.
That purple truck may have a sterling 10.25 or a non floating dana 60, if it's an earlier brick like an 87-88 those years were very very weird with what they were supposed to have and what some of the trucks actually came equipped with
little trickle of propane and the fuel burn speed goes up 30%? but that shifter location bracketry i typed about in the lifter 4x4 wagon video, really does work good in a car with a 10.4L Caterpillar. a 1lb propane bottle adds 20 miles to the tank, a small trickle not to run on it but bump the idle up. if only it had glow plugs it wouldn't need ether, saver about 60 cents every 10 miles with a propane trickle. ... get some NOS valves and a few regulators... 1000km to a 100L tank too 2000km with the propane trick.
The only person who can’t see the door repairs is Ray Charles 😅😂🤣 PS Willard says you are definitely stunned! Willard’s wife says the only reason the wiper motor kicked your ass is because you are so short. Speaking from personal experience mixing up and applying fiberglass is the easy part, it’s the grinding and sanding the crap is the suck part of the job. Why on gods green earth do you bother locking an OBS ford because all it takes is butter knife to pry the wing window out enough to grab hold of it and give it a yank. The F250 without the floating axle is a light duty model truck.
They probably knew those springs were off of a halfton and they put them in there so the truck would ride better. I’m sure ride is a lot different now. stiffer.
19:19 it’s doesn’t matter with these front ends, you go in reverse backing it into parking spot the front end will always look sacked out 24:26 What kinda racing slicks are those?
Go see zip ties with the new rig road trip you guys should take your new project make it road worthy then go see the next buddy to help get his project road worthy an drive it too the next buddy an see his project to help get road worthy
The 4wd F350s with a solid axle have 2 leaf packs because they don't have the leverage that TTB has on the spring. If you set a D60 solid axle under the 3 leaf pact it'll ride like ASS
