Jody Africa I don't know if you from US or Europe going to speak in Rands convert it if you must, the very first time I did this conversion it cost me R11k to buy the engine mounting it and modifications on the steering and suspension cost another R10k the managment and turbo upgrade cost R15k the gearbox conversion with original W58 jumbo 5speed supra box and big clutch system R18k and all the little bits to spray paint do exhaust and put new differential cost me about 20k so Initially you could Sum it up to R90k including licencing and interior and Rims on. After I racked the car the rebuild into new body cost about 30k and then at this stage the car that no one has seen yet I'm spending a little on upgrades and going bigger and better its at 60k extra about just on proper tyres and engine external upgrades and fabrication total in 2017 is 150k

Jody Africa today I 2jz GTE in RSA cost you 40k 4x more so everything is a lot more to do because the prices has changed so much I would think doing it these days would cost initially 150k instead of the 90k I spent back in 2008

Daniel Kleynhans thanks for the reply Daniel, il work out an idea from those figures, im in SA, I have a capri shell that I want to transplant a 1uz or 2jz. Ive been struggling to get information on the estimated cost to turbo each one, and also how much power I can expect. I want to use the Capri for mostly track and hill climb, occasional drag use so I don't need big power im aiming for around 300rwkw and good torque. Im considering the 1uz to keep it v8, but the 2jz at high revs is just something else. Are you running a single turbo on stock internals? low boost?
