I would have been too young to have toys with small parts when these came out first, but I remember these still being around when I started playing with toy cars. Corgi models were incredibly detailed, and they went to great trouble to design interesting features that increased the playability for children at the time.
I had one of these as a present on my ninth birthday, in 1972. I'm pretty sure that the opening body was spring loaded - strong enough to flip the car if you ran it into something, and compressed the trigger at the front. Lovely restoration, as always, and this one brought back a great many happy memories. Thank you! 👍👍👍
Beautiful restoration in the uk the capri was none as a boy racers car but if you driven one you would love it. They would put a smile on anyone's face. Well done Paul.

Brilliant as always, would like to see you restore a matchbox camero , it had the disc wheels on it like CD’s and was a bright color blue. Haven’t seen one since I was a kid. Think it was part of a collection called laser wheels
Another superb restoration. Personally I never cared for dragsters, hot rods etc. so I never checked this model in detail, and always thought it was probably quite primitive, so was quite surprised to learn through your video, that it's actually pretty advanced with many small parts and intricate details. Your tip on getting the scale of the box right (by measuring the distance between axles) is absurdly simple, but super effective. One of those a-ha things that makes people go "why didn't I ever think of that?" You're probably right, that the body is recycled from the civilian Capri, but it's been pretty heavily modified to fit this model, getting rid of the opening doors, crystal headlights, making an incision at the back for the hinge, and adding the parachute box. Nevertheless, it's still easier than having to do the entire body from scratch.
Ich habe über 600 reparierte Modelle. Ich bewahre sie nicht zu Hause auf. Allerdings präsentiere ich auf meinem Kanal Videos zu meiner Sammlung. Das nächste Video kommt im April. werde zeigen, welche Modelle ich im letzten Jahr generalüberholt habe. Ich denke über einen Ort nach, an dem ich diese Modelle der Zukunft ausstellen könnte. It's hard for me to say because I don't know of a website that would offer box templates and I make the boxes myself, you can watch how they are made on my channel. there is a separate video on making box templates
Un lindo modelo, con muy buen estado de conservación a pesar del re pintado mal hecho, la suciedad y con bastantes piezas móviles para cuidar y hacer lucir. No es mi tipo de auto preferido, pero me gustó que encontrases un ejemplar tan poco habitual en un mercadito y lo devolvieses a su magia original. ¡Espero que vaya para tu colección personal!

Additionally in this video you showed teh effects of teh software you are using to make teh details and teh great boxes. I always was wondering were you got all the material to make the boxes. I am impressed with teh software. Would you share what you are using there.
Thank you very much for your comment, I use the Photoshop Essentiale graphics program, which I once received with a scanner, and in it I scale and process the photos you saw in the video. Additionally, on my channel there is also a video about making boxes and stickers. Best regards.
