😊 Hey guys! We created the Chase Car channel to give viewers a broad overview of the upcoming new cars from the top car manufacturers. We are huge fans of pickup trucks of all sizes: compact, mid-size and full-size trucks. So mostly, we will cover new upcoming trucks, but besides that, here you can find a lot of content about new sedans and SUVs too.
The Electric Vehicle wave sooner or later will become huge, so this type of content might appear on this channel from time to time. But as we are still on the way to becoming fully electrical, we mostly cover fossil cars from many amazing brands.

BEV companys payed a great effort to establish BEV market. However, I must say it was the reckless challenge from the begining. BEV is just an alternative and BEV does not reduce co2 at all. In the first place, BEV has a lot of issues such as range degradation in winter, very long charging duration, deterioration of batteries you already experienced in smart phones, no repairbility in the car accident, explosion risk of batteries, huge wearing of tires due to heavy weight of BEV. Moreover, BEV has to charge the electricity from power plant. The power plant burns petroleum to boil water and turns a turbine to generate electricity so that BEV ingects a lot more co2 rather than ICE cars. Howcome, people is believing BEV is good for environment? I do not understand.

EV sales are up over 50% year on year, much as has been happening each year for a decade. It's just that Ford, GM, VW and such can't make successful EVs. Tesla makes the best selling car model in the world (having surpassed the Toyota Corolla this year), and makes a profit. Range is fine, charging is typically 5 to 20 minutes with their cheapest car. It's just the other carmakers desperately want this "no one wants EVs" meme. They can't sell millions of EVs a year; Tesla already does.

Early on they were saying the truck would be approx $37k and $100 would put a person on the list to get one. Two years later they are $100k and though I put an early deposit on a truck I was never contacted to come in and buy one. There were something like 100,000+ deposits taken . . . I was just recently notified that my $100 deposit was being returned . . . stupid way to run a product roll-out. If they lived up to their original pricing that attracted all the attention they would be on a roll. Would I buy one today at that price, maybe, but not likely considering the issues.

We have a Ford C-Max E Hybrid since 2015 and it delivers about 43 miles to the gallon and has been a great little car. Had never experienced “Range Anxiety “and charge in the garage easily which provides the electric drive first twenty five miles. Unfortunately, Ford seems to have discontinued this model. It was fairly successful in Europe and sold in North America until several years ago. Has excellent ride and safety features. Cargo space has not been a problem. We maintain routinely for the nine years. They should reconsider their options and maybe bring it back. Regards.

Ford's "giving up" on EV's would be short-cited. Indeed, range goes down under certain circumstances, but as a normal passenger car, 90% of the time, EV is a good way to go. Why have a hybrid? It is the worst of both worlds. You still have an internal combustion engine, plus a battery which will need to be replaced one day, plus a highly complex electric motor system. Once a hybrid is out of guarantee, you are exposed to double jeopardy in repairs and maintenance. Recently at Luton Airport in England a Range Rover 2014 diesel range rover sport with an emissions of 169gm/km hybrid model, had a battery fire and burned down the whole car park. EV and hybrid battery fires are impossible to put out. A car park also burned out in the city of a Liverpool. The problem is, even if an EV doesn’t initiate the fire, once they become engulfed - they burn with far greater intensity. You can put an ICE fire out, but not a hybrid or EV.

FORD has such lousy quality that F150 electric cathes fire!!!!!Not to mention that they should not start with pickup....They should build a pasenger electric as good as Tesla, get a piece of market, make it profitable like Tesla and then try pick up!!!! Even Mustang elevmctric cannot be compettive, and you know why...the design has same content as regular ICE mustang, means expensive!!!

Something most of these 'EV's are dying' videos do not discuss is RESALE or RESIDUAL VALUE. Who wants to buy a 5-7 year old used vehicle, with 75,000-100,000 miles on it, that will probably need a new $30,000-$70,000 battery at the 10-year mark?? EV's have ZERO resale value. No one with half a brain would ever buy a used one!! Add that the manufacturers will not support a damaged, but properly rebuilt EV, and that kills the demand even more. AND, as if THAT wasn't enough, when you buy a used EV, if there's a single dent on the bottom of the vehicle, you have no idea if the car's battery is still useable. You may have to spring for a new main HV battery upon purchase!! EV's are not the way of the foreseeable future. They are a huge liability for all manufacturers and the only reason most manufacturers are even in the EV space is because governments keep pushing their idiotic climate first and end fossil fuels agenda and giving the mfg's financial assistance and buyers rebate incentives. The SMART path forward in automotive powertrain development is the direction the Ram pick-ups are going and is THE powertrain model in trains - hybrid petrol-electric. Use a petrol-powered (gas or diesel) engine to operate a generator that provides the energy to drive electric motors at each axle. All motive power uses electric traction motors with no direct powertrain coupling to the generation system. It can even incorporate batteries for acceleration 'umph' if desired!! The tech has been around for almost a century, is well-developed and much less complex, and has proven reliable. It also provides the benefits of an all-electric powertrain with the reliability and range of traditional infrastructure fuels. I'd jump into one of those in a heartbeat over anything that's pure EV!!

People aren't moving away from EVs, they're moving away from the EVs offered by Legacy Car makers. Tesla is wiping the floor with all of them. Ford made some really poor design decisions on the Lightning, making it way too expensive to make. Range anxiety is going to be an issue for anyone towing with an EV. However, most people rarely tow anything over a long enough distance for this to be an issue, although it will certainly put off some buyers who would want to do that.

"Range might be an issue but most people rarely travel long distance." "Towing might be a problem but most people rarely tow anything." See the similarities when it comes to a very faulty argument? What they say is: "When you buy an EV you conform to the 15 minute city." "When you buy an EV you cannot tow anything ever."

If cellphones are a model to compare to look at the old iphones, they are scrap, I wonder if that will apply to electric vehicles. If they want to get the best of both worlds why not a hybrid with a mid range battery, that also has a full size engine with a transmission that lets you charge using a built in generator. I would say that batteries are dangerous as we see with lion fires killing people all over the world.

Even with Elon Musk sharing his Tesla patents, EVs continue to appeal only to the most zealous evangelists. The rest of us eagerly await manufacturers to come back to their senses and the EPA to be reigned in to allow affordable, practical vehicles to be manufactured again. My grandkids might one day get an EV and by then the greedy car manufacturers might think the Chang over more thoroughly. The Japanese are working on water powered cars and they will probably be successful if so that would be the final nail in the EV market. The Japanese are great at producing high quality vehicles and water powered vehicles have been around the Japanese are fine tuning the combustion and therefore the power. I would go that route before I would get into the EV market.
