I see that you had the same problem that I am having. At 2:40 into the video, I noticed that there is no rubber dust boot for the the shift column. Apparently it, like mine, has cracked away. I have spent months, on line, trying to find a replacement for my 2010 F150 STX. Any sources for this part? Thanks and Maranatha
Where did you put the grease under the bushing on the column, or over the bushing under the clamp, or both? Also did you tighten the three bolts first or did you tighten the clamps down first before tightening the three bolts in the back?
Shifter release solenoid. Just removed one from an 06 E350. On mine the solenoid works just the shifter shaft which should push the solenoid rod back down when it's released is not doing so. It runs with out the solenoid. Bushings look in good shape and no excessive play in the shaft that I can see.
Help I have a problem I put shift lever to second gear to get off the dashboard to fix the gas switch and now the chef liver will not shift out of second or first is making it so I can't start the truck help!!!
Sorry for the late response but sounds like mechanism and shift left needs adjustment take it off and reinstall, prob find your issue while disassembling
