"Radial engine like planes use" -Shows video of SPAD (probably XIII) which never used a radial engine. "A car in the 30s is in no way near as durable as yours is today" -Shows picture of car that has been around for at least 80 years and is still (mostly) in one piece. "Chevy debuts their V-6" -Shows an inline-6. I know I know, none of these are important, or the point of the video. I'm just an inveterate nit-picker. (Please don't sue me, I'm a college student and have no money) Fantastic video as usual though! I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I love my flathead powered 49 Ford pickup. My brother has a Model A and it's just a parade queen. My dad has a 40 Ford pickup with a SBC that's slammed so low he can't get over a speed bump. My stock 1949 is used as a pickup was meant to be used.

I won't say anything about the Chevy V6 mess up, but I will mention that Henry Ford II heavily championed the straight six, in fact it later would replace the V8 60 small flat-head. Ford actually owned Simca at the time, and the tooling for the smaller V8 went over to France to be put into the Vedette. Chrysler bought Simca from Ford in the late 50s, and built an entirely new Vedette. The old Vedette went down to Brazil, and the Brazilian Mopar boys took a page from Zora Arkus-Duntov's ArDun Head design, and made a Hemi based on the Flathead Ford V8, called the Acquillion V8. They were entirely aluminum, and are very rare to find today. I'm a little bummed you guys didn't even talk about the ArDun V8. That was like a Cornerstone of the flathead V8 and hot rodding in the 50s!

James' voice has quite a bit of clipping and distortion. Might want to fix your mic situation. Other than that and the V6/I6 mess-up, this was another great episode. An episode on Plymouth would be cool to see. Could work for either Up to Speed or Wheelhouse.

I know this is a car show more than anything, and I’m sure this has been mentioned before, but I think it would be cool to see some motorcycle “Up to speeds” Harley-Davidson Ducati Indian Triumph Etc. Regardless, always love the videos no matter what! Thank you guys for the content you put out!

By the way, the VERY first person who originally invented the V8 engine was a French man named: "Léon Levavasseur". He made his first V8 engine called "Antoinette" in 1904. He used this type of engine on boats and later planes.
