Thanks Oom. At first I was like 'urg a 45 min video.' but then my bro in law and I followed the video to a tee to do a home service on my ecosport. Awesome info right down to the socket and spanner sizes. Cheers Oom.
Nice comprehensive video, thx Gary. On my daughter`s Fiesta 1.6 TDCi I plugged that little water drain hole with my finger, filled the filter with diesel and got it started that way again :) Always enjoy your video`s.
Hope you checked all the power steering hoses, as that is what is under recall, and what is part of the Kuga, which uses the same engine, catching fire.
Not too difficult to do. Saw a video made by a manufacturer of the timing belt kit, and did it myself. the most difficult is to remove the bottom half of the belt cover that covers the crank pulley. Be sure to replace the waterpump at the same time, whilst you are there.
Hello sir, just wondering if it’s safe to use shell helix hx 8 as it is ACEA A3/B4 and the one specified in the manual for ecosport is A5/B5. Great video otherwise, much appreciated

I have a 1 liter Titanium Ecoboost 2013. There is a thin pipe coming from the reservoir onto the top, where it is leaking. It is not the thermostat housing that leaks. Any comments.
Thanks for supporting the channel with your visit Clyde, is most likely the pipe itself, but a cooling system pressure test should reveal the course of the leak.
Hello Ajit, this is normal with all turbo diesels as the turbo needs oil to lubricate it, as long as there is not excessive amounts of oil. This is the reason diesel engines sometimes has a slight smoke coming from the exhaust especially as it get older and slight wear happens. When you cover long distances it is always recommended to check the engine oil level when you do fuel stops.
